I don’t know why but this cover and music video kinda personifies how I felt at the depths of my opiate and benzo addiction. Like if I had to choose a song as the soundtrack of my addiction, this would be it. 9 years clean now.
So just recently found Mini Mansions thanks to the awesome song Hey Lover with Alison Mosshart and have gone done the rabbit hole listening to EVERYTHING and I love it all. This is just amazing. And I love the blend of vocals from Tyler Parkford and Michael Shuman. AMAZING!

Great cover, but I am left with so many questions . . . Where might one find the director's cut of this video? I want to see footage of them shopping for these props and staging this. Who found the string of rubber duckies? Bloodshot eyes from water . . . or something else? Also, Is that a tip of the hat to Marc Bolan at 1:56? If so- Awesome.
I don't know why, but I thought the other the day that Mini Mansions doing there own version of 'Supermassive Black Hole' by Muse might be really interesting. Just a thought.
This is absolutely amazing cover, much better than the original. The video really captures the darker side of this before known as "happy-go-lucky" song. Love the added details, such as high pitch noises. Makes you focus on the fact that the song isn't as happy as you'd think by listening only to the original.
