In mha canon bakugo can read nickname thing so he named him deku and it means he is useless or worthless, but when he goes to ua uraraka thinks its good luck so he names it for his hero name i guess hope you understand
@@shupe7373 the word deku refers to a doll or a puppet that traditionally did not have legs and arms. So by calling someone deku you say that they are as worthless as a doll without legs and arms. That's why deku meaning can be shortened to you are worthless.
