As far as I'm aware this is the only filter on a deisel. It's the r50 r532 r53 petrol that are in the tank. Are you having a problem with cutting out at all? That's the reason I changed that filter and once I had changed it there was no more problems with the car.
Hey thanks for the video. I have got a r50 but not diesel, do I have the same thing ? Because I start to believe I bought a diesel filtrer for a car that is not diesel..
If you have a petrol r50 then the fuel filter is in a different place. You will find it inside the tank. It's a lot bigger job. I will do a video of that this week if it will help you?
@@tonyrepairs5558 yeah I know about this filter, I’ve replaced it already. But I’ve been told to replace the « second filter » which is the one you showed us in the video. But now I’m questioning the knowledge of the person who told me this 😅
I didn't know there was a 2and filter. I've never seen one and never changed one. I wont say for sure it isnt there but I do believe it's just the deisel that has the filter there. If there is its news to me.
@@tonyrepairs5558 thanks for the reply mate, have you had the linkage problem on yours with stiff gear changes? Daughter picks hers up nxt week and it’s got that problem, car was cheap for that reason but I knew it’s not a bad fix
@@richardmathers7238 the last time I had stiff changes it was down to the clutch but hopefully its the cables. Let me know what you find. I'm interested.
Hi. Thank you for your message. The fuel filter arrow is the original filter and the new filter was fitted with the arrow pointing in the flow. I did make sure it was the correct way.
