not really sure why they went for a non-standard PCB thickness, but it was interesting to see your experimentation to overcome this issue! this sound is interesting, after the many many many many gasket mount boards recently, this sounds somewhat... hard and rocky? presumably due to it being top mount. really neat theme though and great video as always!
I had a similar problem with my Matrix ME. I tried C3 V3 stabs but their housings are a little shorter?(higher?) as well. Tried all sorts of PFTE tape and foams to get the stabs snug but kept running into problems. Luckily the C3 V3 stab pads and durock v1 stabs seem to have worked perfectly. Somehow durocks are just a bit taller than C3s and I assume taller than the Zeals he used.
I feel the same way. After typing many many many gasket boards recently, this feels quite hard. Because of the silicone pad on the plate, a bit softer compared to normal top mount ones. Thank you as always!
@@3ildcat I wonder if we will have a trend that goes away from "gasket and flex" and brings back top/sandwich mounts to the high end. Its a bit annoying to see people think gasket = premium, everything else is trash
Top mount and sandwich mount always have the most crisp sound profiles. If the design isn't great the spacebar will suffer more so than gasket mount IMO. Love me some top mounty, or sandwichy, goodness.

It's honestly astonishing to be able to see somebody make a keyboard sound this good, with many people coming into the keyboard community he's probably one of the greatest role models for people new to it. With all of the keyboards he has built he keeps getting so much better and it's absolutely amazing to see somebody that could make any keyboard sound amazing. He's probably my favourite keyboard RU-vidr followed by Hipyo Tech and switch and click. Keep up the amazing word dude!
Thanks but it could be just microphone thing. I don't edit all sounds except simply increasing the volume, but if you use same as mine, the sound profile would be similar and it would be good to hear too.
Have you considered making a stabilizer guide? I love your videos but I've never seen someone tune stabilizers the way you do and I'd like to learn for future builds.
Another wonderful video and build; I'm sure that your friend will love it! I think I'll be trying to get the new Arisu-style Owllabs keyboard that they recently announced Wish me luck... I'm hoping the unorthodox style of the keyboard will deter most folks from trying for one, but Owllabs made it look so good I'm not sure that will be the case! :D

I have sooo much respect, about the fact, that u can 1.Type so fast (Cause I don't .-.) But also 2.Because u can type so fast in korean WITHOUT having the korean layout! :o
Is there a model without exclusivity problem (easier to find) with a mini screen like this one? Really dont like to risk money on some shaddy limited units stuff...

that iPhone 4 (S?) is just long enought for the space bar stab.
