I loved finding this tutorial! I need to make 250 little tassels for a 1:9 scale bedouin costume for a arabian horse model, and this is perfect, thank you!
Oh my goodness 250! That will keep you out of mischief for a wee while.....😁. You'll be an expert at making these by the time you're finished. Thank you for leaving me your comment. I really appreciate it. Hugs C xx
Thank you so much for such a kind comment. Bless you. I'm thrilled the tutorial was useful for you. The tassels are bit fiddly but still fun to make. Have fun making your own. Hugs C xx
Not quite sure my eyes would let me make them now either.....lol. Bit I do need to make some as I've almost used up that little stash. I'll give it a try anyway and see. Thanks so much for watching Fay. Hugs C xx
Your tutorial is the best way! I watched a few and yours is different. Much easier and look perfect! Love the size it’s exactly what I was looking for. Thank you 😁
Oh thank you, Candice. So pleased you found it helpful. I must make some more of these wee tassels myself, as they are so useful as tag dangles in my journals. Hugs C xx
Absolutely love this video… Your technique is exactly what I needed to make a project for a friend.. I also like using the needle… it gives the ultimate in control it just so happens that the earrings I'm trying to duplicate for a dear friend had jumpings in the end so this was definitely perfect for me thank you so much for sharing this tutorial.
So sorry I only spotted your comment when answering another this morning. Thank you for watching the video and I hope you have fun trying these mini tassels. Hugs C xx
thank you so much for the clear tutorial!! i found it very insightful 🖤✨ i plan on making mini tassels like these to attach to the bottom of acrylic charms / keychains that i make. this was perfect to explain the process, so again thank you! (:
I've only just spotted your comment so sorry for the late reply. Thank you for leaving me a comment and I'm thrilled you found the tutorial useful. How you're planning to use your tassels is a GREAT idea. Hugs C xx
These are just adorable! Thank you very much for the tutorial! I did have problems with the jump ring & tying the knots but I finally got it. I made a pair of earrings. I added a bead & had the tassel at the bottom. I love how it turned out. So cute!
Hi Carol, pleased you gave making these a try. They're a little fiddly with them being so small but sounds like you managed it. AND what a great idea, to use them as earrings.... I must try that. Thank you for the idea. Hugs C xx
@@oakhousejournals Earrings was the first thing I thought of when I saw the tutorial. Once I got the first one made the second one was easier. I can see this becoming a new addiction 😂. I’m going to come up with a design for a matching necklace. The tassels are the perfect size for jewelry & because they already have a jump ring, it’s easy to add other elements.
They are addictive... as you saw I had quite a few in my box and still more now.....lol. Great idea to use them on a necklace too. The uses for these is endless really. Have fun. C xx
Hi Elaine, I was just thinking the same thing when I used my last one the other day. They're a little fiddly but the effort is worth it as they look so cute on dangles. Enjoy. Hugs C xx
These are just too cute. I know waht I will be making a little later today. I wonder how many I can get done. I just adore all your little finishing touches you have a talent for it. Thanks a Bunch Hugs and Smiles. Take Care and be safe. I know how disappointing it is to have to cancel special celebrations . We had to postpone my Mothers 85th Birthday and a fiftieth Anniversary and also a couple of family Birthdays as well. As you say it is best to be safe.
Oh what a shame, Lori. I think it is going to be a quiet Christmas this year BUT we'll make up for it next year. Thank you, as always for your lovely comment. You stay safe and well too... smiles all round. Hugs C xx
I think so too.....lol. I need to make some more as I've run out here at home. I just love using them on my tags as toppers. Thanks so much for watching and leaving me a comment. Hugs Shelly. C xx
Good tutorial thank you, it would have been easier to see had you used a black background or black threads as pastel on white is a bit difficult to see.
Hi Jean, thanks so much for watching and for that feedback. You're absolutely right about using a better background. I made this tutorial whilst a YT novice and it just didn't even occur to me at that time (no excuse but a rookie mistake.....lol.) Thanks again and much appreciated. Hugs C xx
Omg I know this is prolly not your intended use but if been scratching my head for days on how I could make doll sized nipple tassels and I think you have just given me the solution
Lol.... I can honestly say it wasn't my intended use but I am always happy when someone finds any inspiration in the bits I create. So go gal and enjoy.....lol. Hugs C xx
You always make it look so easy ... I'm sure it takes a bit of practice to get them so perfect though! Thanks for all those little tips, I would never have thought to use a fork! As for that box of beautiful threads, WOW ... what a treasure! tfs.
Actually it really doesn't. The best tip was keeping your thumb on top of the thread to make sure it stays in place. Honest they are easy but a wee bit fiddly because I wanted them so small. Threads coming your way.....lol. Hugs C xx
lol, yep these are tiny. I suppose if you were making a large amount they'd be tedious to make. I'm usually watching a good film or listening to an audio book whilst I craft so they're not a problem. The up side is that I like using them in my projects so it's great to have a few in my stash. Thanks for watching. C xx
Then I guess you are going to have to think 'outside of the box'. Perhaps you could use a little bit of wire wrapped round a pencil to form a circle or use a thicker thread to create a ring. It's hard to suggest what you could use without knowing your project but you should be able to find jump rings on old pieces of jewellery if you don't want to buy any from your local craft or jewellers shop. Sorry Victoria this is the best help I can offer on this. C xx
