I'm totally new to this aspect, so will this gadget tell you if your antenna is too long or short for the particular bands you want to use the antenna for? Will this also tell you how much to cut away off the antenna to achieve near perfect SWR??
Anton, I still cannot get the software to scale or translate to a desired range. Any ideas on this? Nothing happens in the software when I set a new center frequency or change the division and hit enter. It always stays centered at 14.27 with 100 per division. Any ideas how to control the graph? Both phone and tablet behave similarly. Thanks, CEC
I bought a Mini60 in June 2019.It had the Bluetooth link installed . It works good via Bluetooth with my android phone and tablet, BUT when I tried to find software to use on my PC the problems began. First it was difficult to find software and install it, second none of the drivers I could find on the web would make it connect via USB. It works great via Bluetooth with my android device, but I wanted something for my desk top PC. I found software called "Mini60-Sark100-GA60-MR100 Data Scan, and found by accident that if I loaded a Bluetooth Com Port driver I could then connect the Mini60 to my Bluetooth capable desktop via Bluetooth. Look into it folks there are ways to overcome the Chinese sailing vessels, AKA Chinese Junk!!!
Anton, thanks for sharing. I found the demonstration to be very useful. I'll pick one of these up so that I can show swr plots in my RU-vid videos. Again, thanks for sharing, and new subscriber.
Thank you Anton for your review. I've been reading a lot about the pros and cons but this video helped me a lot. If I can get one here in Peru I will use it to analyze my wires. Best 73 from the Peruvian selva. Daniel IK2SGL/OA8
OLA GOOD EVENING .... WOULD IT BE POSSIBLE TO MAKE A VIDEO DEMONSTRATING IF THE ANTENNA ANALYZER (METROVNA DELUXE 250MHz) WOULD BE ABLE TO MAKE MEASUREMENTS IN EXTERNAL ANTENNAS BASED ON LONG COAXIAL CABLES LENGTH TYPE BETWEEN 10 AND 15 METERS LENGTH? ? MOST VIDEOS ON THE INTERNET NOTHING CLARES ABOUT THIS ..... GRATEFUL ....
Don't know if you noticed, but the app did not completely fit to the screen. So you can only see the 0 line on the lower margin. Under this line there are also frequencies displayed. This results due an software design mismatch. If you like I can provide you a version which corrects this issue and the double listed Bluetooth entry in the connect menu as well.
Hi I have one of these and noticed the annoying SW defects, would be very happy if you could send me your fix of the app 73's Terry VK3YX email vk3yx@wia.org.au
Hi, I had this problem also. It depends on the software and hardware interaction in your Android device. On Samsung note will happen if font size is not set to "normal" On other devices such as Laser 732 there is no fix. I found a well priced 8" Android tablet ( with BT ) that is fine and is dedicated now to RF work. Its an EZPad model 830DC made in China and is great. Other devices may be fine also, be careful to check they support BT though, I checked dozens of small tablets, the cheaper ones don't often have BT Oh and I was sent a version of the mini app that is for Windows, haven't tried it, no interest, Android does the job just fine on a cheaper device!. This is an great little gadget. I do have a mini 60 that I bout a little over a year ago. I didnt know about the app tho. I would love to get my hands on it. The link is not working. I was wondering if you know of any other place to download it or if you have a copy of the file, if you can share it? thanks a bunch. KD9BBN
You asked why the center freq was 14.27 MHz. Did you notice on reviewing your video that you ran your finger over the center which was the center few and it went up to the top end. Maybe play around a bit more before up loading your videos. Otherwise informative.
Anton, Please disregard the callousness above. Your video is the only source of demo information that I had to get this product going - otherwise it was quite blank coming from China with nothing but the instrument. Thanks very much for your help here, it is crucial and highly appreciated. Clifford E Carnicom
I have a Mini60 as well and have also owned the SARK 100 and MR100 variants. They are all a great value for the money but obviously not as capable as a VNA. If you want to make it sing, though, try my software. It makes it even more fun to play with. 73, Steve, AK4R (good on QRZ.COM)
