It was really interesting to see you shrink your process down to a day in order to see where all your time goes in your longer builds. Custom pieces do take so much time but end up being worth it in the end when you are going for a certain idea. However, this was great to see that you can still get a story and a bit of mystery so quickly out of purchased items! What a great way to encourage someone new to just jump in and give that abandoned vibe a try!

Random tangent on fabric. I discovered that nylon material, like stockings (with the very thin/fine threads makes for pretty realistic miniature fabric). Don't recall if you've used it before, worth a shot if you havent.

You are really talented person, and you've got a taste. With ordinary dollhouse furniture you've created amazing and atmospheric scene just for one day, and it fits to your style perfectly! I love this roombox as much as your more complicated works, and I felt very calm when I was watching video because of your voice and music.

WOW! first time viewer. Love Miniatures and I love abandoned/haunted locations.....NEVER thought about combining the two. The end result is fantastic. So the end shots looking realistic, yes absolutely; I thought the dusty ambience through natural light coming through the windows which also looked like they were overlooking a backyard and of course all the smallest of details helped solidify it into being a 'real' looking abandoned location. So cool! Got yourself a new subscriber! It was too funny after watching the process with miniatures and the ENORMOUS CAT jumped up on the counter.

I enjoy watching all of your videos, but this new format is AWESOME! Taking pieces from a craft store that people can purchase (if they want to), and being able to recreate the project or make something similar is a great idea! I like the camera angle of you talking/teaching, and sharing the step by step process of the build. I also noticed.... It seemed like you enjoyed the process of this build a little more as well. Less stress, and being able to create without having to worry about making every single item. You're truly talented, and I really enjoy watching what you create. Defiently continue making these kind of videos.

Man you do good stuff. It would be so cool to have the curtains move a little from a breeze. IDK how you could do that in scale though. Maybe even a string attached to the curtains that you could pull, off camera? Or super-thin fabric and canned air? Anyway, take care - Bill.

Excellent work as always! Sometimes its nice to use off the rack items - your treatment/aging of them is stunning and really takes away the dollhouse look they would otherwise have. I like this format, and while I cannot say why it looks so good I will say that like many of your other builds I can look at the end product and have an olfactory flashback to some place I have explored. I don't know that I should be thrilled to suddenly "smell" must, mold, and rot but I say it as credit to your work. :-D Also, you have the bestest supervisor to QC the process.

I like to see the quick "cheats" way of doing this, good tips to put goals within a reasonable range. I don't like the "I need to do this quick" aspect of it, this kind of work is supposed to be relaxing and it should not matter if it takes an hour or a day. I makes me nervous just watching it. (Yes I am recovering from a burnout so I am biased :) ) Also: I am absurdly jealous of what you are able to make. Just wait, one day, with a few years of practice, I'll be 1/10th as good as you!

I'm far from trying one day challenges, but I do consider them as a great indicator for one's own proficiency. Did you edit the entire video on the same day as well? One take on the 3D printer/laser cutter/convenience tools: I think as a beginner it's definitely better to go without them. This way you learn the craft and appreciate the effort behind it. Even if you hit a wall with your current tools, you start to get creative find work arounds. After all, crafting is also about problem solving and I deem this a very valuable trait to have.
@AbandonedMiniatures

I definitely didn’t edit the video in the same day, it took a few hours just to get all the final shots done! I agree with you on the tools, but I definitely enjoy what more advanced tools can accomplish in less time

I'll spare you the life's story wall of text, but I do have an idea that you might find challenging and entertaining. Creating a miniature using realistic materials. I'm aware it may take a long time, since it involved making your own tiles and grout, or making your own planks, carving wood for furniture and what not, but the idea has always interested me and I think it might be a unique spin on your formula which usually relies on making things look realistic.

I really dig the new format. It's always cool to hear your thoughts about creating these masterpieces! One thing that broke the immersion a bit for me was the drawer on the floor. The lacquer on the top edge looked like it was Millimeters thick instead of a couple of tenth of millimeters. I never thought that subsurface scattering could break the immersion instead of help creating it. But this shouldn't be considered as a complaint of mine! I would never be able to create such an amazing diorama.

Loved watching your video. Your room turned out awesome. I'm a miniature freak since I was a kid. You've inspired me to get my mini house out of the box and build it myself. I'll learn a thing or two...maybe...:) Hey from the Arizona 🏜 desert. Loved this.

Dude first video of yours I’ve seen and it’s such a rad art form. There’s actually like an emotion that comes from seeing an abandoned room I reckon. You nail capturing that. So rad!

Love the format. Would love to join your Patreon for the video tutorials but can't afford that tier, would be great if you can add the video tutorials to the lower tiers. There's two ways of doing Patreon, lots of people at low tiers or few people at high tiers. Seems you opted for the latter. The rewards at the lower tiers aren't enough for me to join up yet another account, I do sponsor several already and it does add up. This is a fantastic video but for me the off the shelf furniture with the drawers failed in the closeups. I though the wood used was too thick to make it look realistic in those last few shots.

Loved the format and loved the end result! This would make a really fun challenge for a group - like you said, most projects take a long time to come together but something "quick and dirty" with such great results is refreshing for our creativity 😀

I loved this, just helps to show you don't need expensive equipment to make miniatures. I use a lot of trash lol like bottle caps and that sort of thing to make what I need
