I adopted a 14 year old minpin from a shelter, they were going to put her down because she was deaf. She is a very healthy dog. She acts like a puppy still, i love her so much❤️❤️

My daughters Min Pin bonded with me, I never liked him because he just annoyed me and had bad manners and was naughty (getting into trash, pooping in the house, barking etc) She wasn’t spending time with him, so I started to. And that was the problem all along. I took him to the beach, parks, downtown, overnight with me. His happiness melted my heart, his behavior improved dramatically, and being with him keeps me active and I love him more than I could express. He is so tuned into me, my approval, my love. The way he looks into my eyes… all I can say is that he has a true and very loving heart! ❤️ It could have been a good movie about a grumpy older guy and a dog who won his heart. Dogs are Angels.

Min pins don't exactly give the best first impressions 😂 I didn't like them either. They seemed tightly wound and yappy. I ended up with two min pin mixes though 😂 Great dogs, very funny and they do steal your heart!

my min pin is a parvo survivor. she git sick when she was 3months old. she's 1yr old now. min pin is a fighter. i really love them. (all dogs)

Mine too, she was attacked in Thessaloniki on my birthday (oh the irony), which is on the 1st of January, by a pack of feral dogs. She was bitten on her butt near her tail, but she had her operation and is perfectly healthy (only a light scar remains on her lower back, but nothing else). She's sleeping on the chair next to me as I'm writing this :D

Same! I think it also depends on the personality I guess. They also say they’re independent and my min pin follows me around the house all day and can’t be more than a foot away from me without crying. She LOVES cuddling and sleeping all day on my lap or by my side.

My Scooby was put down this year due to cancer! He was in terrible pain so with a heavy heart we did what's best for him. My heart still aches for him and every time I think of him I start crying. He was 15 and a half years old. Great age for a dog I know, but I wish he lived longer. I wish dogs in general lived longer. I got Scooby when I was 9. Now I'm 24. Scooby was in my life from elementary school all the way to university years. He met my boyfriend. I live with him in London. I left Scooby with my family in my home country because he was old and too sick travel. Last time I saw him was this year in february when I was pregnant. He was put down in april this year. My daughter will sadly never meet him. I am still utterly heartbroken and shattered. 💔 No dog could ever replace my beloved Scooby, but when my daughter gets slightly bigger I would love to get her a dog of the same breed. Miniature pinschers are a special breed of dogs! I wish so bad I could go back in time and instead of all those times when I was doing other things like being on social media etc spend time with my beloved Scooby ♥ Please guys cheerish your dogs/pets because they won't be here for too long..I miss him deeply every day 😭😭😭💔

We lost our little min pin almost 2 years ago. My heart hurts every day for my little sweet Gracie. She was the joy of our life. She was 12 years old, and had heart failure and in the end it was live problems that took her . I will never get over losing her. If you have one love on her/him every day.

Viktoria Balint awe give her hugs for me 💗💗🐶 mine was a rescue with natural ears and tail, he had the biggest ears, I wuved him, ILL never have another like him, he even had several smiles he would do showing his teeth😄🐶💗 his name was TK (tiny killer lol, he though he could beat up dogs through windows) his Nick name was Poopins😄 when we first got him he was a little sickly and when he would do his biz, he was like the drunken pooper , aka all his poopy nicknames 😄😄💔💔 miss that guy, sorry to ramble, min pins are wonderful digs someday I'll rescue another😍 snuggle yours good , they make they best sleeping buddies😍😍😍💗💗💗

My baby boy "Sibot" is the smartest most adaptive dog I've ever seen. If I'm being lazy, laying around all week he's fine with that, if I run all day for a week he's loved that too. Hes a smart cute hairy human and knows how to use his cuteness to his advantage. He's a white and black min pin/unknown mix, shelter rescue, he's about the perfect size not too large, but bigger than most minpins, like 35 pounds maybe. He's a brilliant soldier and adorable love machine all wrapped up in one.

This is my second min pin, they are very smart, intelligent and soooo easy to train. I taught him to spin in less than 5 minutes using carrots.

My min-pin dachshund mix is a bundle of energy. We adopted him as a 3 month puppy from a rescue in Texas. We live in Oregon. We have previously had Dachshund's and love the breed. His mom was a 12 lb. miniature dachshund. Daddy was apparently a long legged fence jumper. He looked like a dachshund puppy in pictures. He is such a min-pin! Extremely energetic and very smart. He loves to fetch. To him, stay means spin around twice then wait for the toss. Fun little guy. Mama's boy. We are retired and he has more energy than we expected but I take him for long walks and that helps. He wants to run. The only way I can walk him is with a gentle leader. He did great in puppy classes but in the outdoors he "walks me". Open to suggestions if anyone has any.

I think min pins are great at adapting to their owners. If you're lazy than your min pin will become lazy. If you're an active person than your min pin will become active.

I forgot to mention he's a literal love/happyness machine. Most wonderful friend/son/fur baby a man could ask for. I've had a lot of dogs and he is by far the best I've ever encountered. He's super flexible when it comes to doing whatever I'm doing, like a furry black shadow he follows me everywhere. He could lay in bed and cuddle all day and the next day he could run at lightning speeds in the park the entire day. Only thing that sucks is he has really bad separation anxiety because I originally got him and a female Australian cattle dog at the same time when I was living with my ex girlfriend, it went great for a few years and then we broke up and she took the cattle dog. It was so sad because we got them so young he loved my ex like she was his mom and her cattle dog like his sister. So when they left, him and I both just layed on bed holding eachother crying for a long ass time and now every time I go to work he's afraid I'm not gonna come back and stresses out all day. He also has nightmares which I'm guessing have to do with what happen in that situation. At night he gets under the covers with me crawls up next to me and sleeps with his face in my armpit, once he falls asleep he starts kicking and crying or barking in his sleep, it's not a normal bark or cry its something he only does when he's sleeping and it's so sad that I always end up waking him up to tell him "it's OK I'm here" kiss him and then run him softly until he falls back asleeo

My Mini Pinscher doesn't like strangers and doesn't like the contact to other dogs. She is very clever and needs a daily routine where she can rely on. Also she is very sensible to disharmony. She is a beautiful little girl and she brings me much fun.

My min pin is 1 years old his name is pups and hes my first dog had him since 8 weeks old. He doesnt like strangers and he barks at all sounds i wish i can take him for walks or car rides but sometimes its to stressful cause he can get nippy and barks crazy at certain people or at all other dogs. Besides that i love him he is soo funny and mischievous. He is very playful and loves to cuddle and sleep with me.

I love my min pin Julius. I used to feed him dog food plus dog treats, but recently moved him to a human diet with lots of fruits, veggies, chicken and eggs. He was overweight on a dog food diet but not anymore.

My mini pin is the best cuddler. He loves to bury himself under the covers even under my shirt. Then I get so hot while I'm sleeping because he's like a high-wattage electric blanket. He likes to be first in everything. I got him to be the companion for my deaf Pitbull and they seem to get along just great.

I think it's good the video put emphasis on raising them properly with structure and socialization. People so often baby , coddle, or let little dogs get away with behaviors that they would never allow a large dog to do. This particular breed of small dog is especially not one you want to do that with. They're awesome dogs, but they can easily become unstable and nippy if not raised appropriately. They're not a low energy, laid back, lap dog. High energy, very intelligent, and need lots of exercise + socialization. Great video! ❤

True. They are not purse dogs. My pups need at least 45 minutes total of walks everyday ( more when younger) PLUS mental activities like training and games. Great dogs though. Smart, fun and clownish. They seem to enjoy making people laugh.

I must have had a defective min pin. we use to call him the adulterer HE LOVED EVERYONE , he would run towards strangers to get them to pet him. One time I had to tie him to a bench for ten min (I was right by the glass, I look out , hes sitting on some lady's lap, she leaves someone else sits down he sits in their lap, oh how I miss that guy, so funny and loving, I'll definatly rescue another min pin someday💕💕💕💕💕

Thank you for some of these tips! We just got our little girl (16 weeks old) today... the first night she is shy and shaking a little so I gave her a cozy bed of her own in the corner of mine and actually had to hand feed her kibble tonight. Thank you so much for this. I was given my Min Pin without any knowledge of what they were like, how to look after them, etc and I am glad that there are things like this to help me learn about my dog. She's currently going through grief from losing her cat brother who she has had since she moved in cos he was here first. Sadly she was not given that chance to even say goodbye. A) cos He was dead by the time she had a chance and B) cos she was not given a chance to say good bye before he was buried. I am sad as well but she's helping me out there. We found out how attached to me she was this week cos she was meant to have been in a play that I was in but she just couldn't handle that like she normally could.

My min pin LOVES to walk and run and he is 11 years old. So smart, alert and a super watchdog. The only issue I have is he is alway looking for food. I have to limit his food to twice a day. Wonderful hearing and eye sight. He was a rescue dog and wish there were more like him...

I think my puppy i just got is a mini doberman. They said he was a chihuahua, I've had chihuahua and for his age 3 to 5 months previous owners said be is really big compared to my old chihuahua when she was a puppy. He also has a long snout. And ear are more on top of head and straight up. Love little dude to death really sweet dog and so fair easy to train. I think previous owners didn't know how take care of him and they let him go

I always thought Mini Pins were active. Mine loves to stay in the bed & would stay there as long as we did!

The key is thier elbows are high up into thier arm pits. Feet slightly round like a cat or its a mix. Purebred thier ears go straight up not slightly to sides or is a mix. If ears are floppy is cause they didn't tape them when young. Long faces not apple shaped. Minipin is blk and red and all red colors only. Chihuahua you will variety colors and white on chest often

My minpin is about 1 month old, her momma couldnt raise her because she had an attack of some sort and the vet told us to not let the mother near her kids, so i got her now:)

I got a mini pin named Tessa, also my sisters have 2 others from the same litter. I love that damm dog so cute, but what he said about talking them for walks is so true. They may not beg but they will get depressed, and they love to hunt lizards!
