Miniature radio controlled chariot from Lost in Space

I scratch built this radio controlled Lost in Space chariot at 1/10th scale and took it out on a pond last winter to recreate the scene where it crossed the inland sea in the episode The Hungry Sea. I also made some miniature boulders and ice outcrops for it to drive past.

That was pretty cool! Very fun to watch! Altho I feel it could've used a more adventurous type music. Can you imagine if such a cool toy were available during the broadcast of the show in the 60's? It would've been a Heller Christmas present 😆 Thnx for uploading

Thanks, I would have loved to have used the Lost in Space chariot music if it wasn't copyrighted. It would have been a huge seller back in the 1960s, even if it was just a plastic model like the Moebius one now.

The canopy is scratch built and I used an old Kyosho Blizzard R/C model for the running gear. Some construction photos of it are here. www.cosmicfilmsstudio.com/models.php

I was lucky to finish just this one, it took about 3 months. Once I build one I'm tired of working on it and I like to move on to something new.

@@delavalmilker There are others who converted a Moebius chariot kit into a radio controlled one by using the treads for a radio controlled tank.
