Back home after another great weekend riding Private railways around Worcestershire. Many thanks to the Narrow gauge Society for arranging these visits of which i'm a member.
Another beautiful railway. I really appreciate the esthetics of using rail profiled rails, wooden sleepers, and proper balast over square rail profiles, plastic or metal sleepers, and a bit of gravel. It just completes picture of the beautiful rolling stock in a very pleasant way.
You cannot beat the real thing although in miniature. Plastic sleepers seems the way to go for longer life, plus less work repairing the sleepers/track. Even the mainline has gone down this route many years ago with concrete now metal. Many thanks for your comments. Regards Chris.
I agree not many would run in the rain Mark, although the rain had come before we arrived, just spitting about but dripping of the trees. This our summer after all LOL! Better for part two! Best wishes Chris
Ahoy there Chris. Maybe tidy up or make the title of this video more professional looking by putting this ---> | line in (it). Therefore making it say ~ Miniature Railways of Great Britain | Private railways of etc.! It's what I'd do but you don't have to listen to me. Also with nearly 10k subscribers you're still besting most of us (your fanbase). ~ Mark= +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Thanks for that Mark. Any feedback is good feedback. We get spotted everywhere we go. Thankfully no bad comments on the videos. It is nice that we can spread the word on so many railways loads of people didn't know existed. Cheers Chris
