We spent a lovely day with the members of the South Durham S of M.E.
The track is raised with 7 1/4.5" and I'm sure 3 1/2.
Many thanks to the members for your warm welcome.
A special thank you to Ron for allowing Rosie to drive his Simplex loco.
This the last in this short series..Keep watching this channel for the latest videos.

The Simplex was the first loco she ever drove at our club,so she enjoyed the trips around. Great club,we enjoyed our visit...We did think about popping over to Whitby to see if you were about,but never made it....Best wishes Chris

That's 10 / 11 (soz rubbish at maths) small railways in one holiday man so salute to you as I'd need more rest betwixt days! Was this your first time at this line?
@wooltman

That was two holidays Mark..First one was Somerset, Cornwall and Devon,we then had a week at home before going to the Durham area..Bloody expensive paying for all that fuel, over 1,500 miles traveled..Need a fishing break now,tight lines. Chris

They must feel the need for speed ! I was leaning into the corners…. Sorry curves as I watched the onboard camera video.

They have the 7 1/4 coaches which makes it more stable,but wow that was fast. The last time we had a ride that fast was at the Wirral club..We were leaning as well Dave lol!

The track is south of Darlington. I'm sure if you visit the clubs website you will find out the location and running days. Hope that helps.
