FYI those aren’t QR codes, they’re actually called data matrix codes. They include codes for production info of products including codes identifying where they were produced, batch numbers, dates of production, etc. I bought a full case of 36 towards the end of December and helped with some of the people on Reddit that originally identified the different codes and box distribution orders. Each case of 36 comes with 3 full sets of 12, and it’s honestly way easier just buying a full case now with the boxes, I opened a set, sold a full set to a friend, and still have a full set sealed. I’m only buying full cases from now on with these boxes!

If you are still wanting scales you probably want to look for precision scales as they have like 2 or 3 decimal points

Lego screwed up with boxed minifigs. I always see these boxes ripped open and pieces stolen or missing. Bring back polybags!

Haha I love how you called it the Nobes 😅 and I found exactly one CMF at my local Target on 12/31. It was on a random shelf in the clearance toy aisle, unopened surprisingly. So I got very lucky! I went to the Lego aisle to see if there were more and they had a large yellow box of CMF, completely empty. Wish they were easier to find! Also yes boooo boxes 😮 I love how your Lego store offers the trading program!

I tried Jay's Brick Blog trick on Saturday in a Lego store, and couldn't get it to work either. I ended up buying 12 blind, and only got 3 doubles. The Bricks & Minifigs store in Crest Hill, IL has a minifig trade night the 3 Sunday of every month. The will trade 1 for 1 for series that are similar. For example, they will trade any CMF that they have in stock for any CMF that you give them. They do the same for the number series (23, 24, or 25). I plan to take my doubles and hope they have the 3 that I am missing.

On Target carrying the CMF’s- last Thursday my local Target (Pennsylvania) had their front registers fully stocked with Series 25. I grabbed 6 of them at random (hoping I’d get at least one Goat).. and ended up getting 3 of the Goatherds. 😮

The cmf boxes have definitely discouraged me to buy more of them. I will buy a complete set online but I usually buy extras for the minifigs that I like. But I am no longer doing that since I cannot identify them and am not paying more to buy them individually.

As a target employee I've noticed it can sometimes take forever for certain Lego products to come in let alone pop up in the system the cmfs being the worst. Sometimes a bunch of cmfs will come in but they will be marked as the last series. For ex the first Marvel series when scanned would pop up as the Harry Potter series. That's why they won't be street dated and why they could get put out early

You can also get an ear cam. One that has a long lens. It will be able to poke into the corner of the box. Then you can see what’s inside

The new PAB boxes have less volume than the cups, however it really depends on what pieces you are buying and whether you want to spend time stacking which container works best. For loose smaller pieces the cup is better. For stacked bricks or especially plates the box is normally better. If you go loose on bricks (besides the largest) the cup beats the box.

I’m pretty sure you have it backwards about the QR codes. I think Lego started out with the ones that you could scan and realized they had screwed up and all the ones that are small that don’t work are the new ones and that’s how they are going to be from now on.

The Target south of San Marcos had CMF 25 in the main Lego aisle right before Christmas. If y'all were at the Cedar Park Target, I feel like I've seen CMF there, but I've never bought any so I could be mistaken.

They’re often behind the counter, not on shelves, because of worries that people want them for measuring elicit substances. My spouse picked one up for weighing fiber and perfumes, that handles 0.03 to 500 grams, with 0.01-gram precision.

I've been lucky with the 6-pack boxes from the Lego site. I bought 2 of each of the Marvel series and this one and did not get duplicates. Its risky but I've done okay so far.

If it says on the Lego website that it's a Lego exclusive, then you will find it it at local retailers as well, like Smyths, for example.

When I was looking for Marvel CMFs I found them at Kohl's and Best Buy. The weight thing doesn't work that well. I bought a $20 scale and still got duplicates or ones I didn't want 4 or 5 times. Which sucked since I only wanted half the series.

Amazon has decent "herb" scales for $8.79 that will definitely work for what you need. Same scale in dispenserarys is like $20-$30.

My Targets don’t have it either and a store employee said they won’t order them anymore, as too much got destroyed… Walmart had the old code ones, but in the back. Same for BestBuy. I had to ask and they’d bring out as many as I asked for

Try a postal scale. And I imagine stores like Target and Walmart will stop carrying CMFs because the boxes are always ripped open and they won’t keep putting up with it, IMO.

I saw a few of Series 25 boxes near a self checkout at target a couple of days ago, just so you know.

Wow I can’t believe none of those stores had them! Our target had series 25 by the self checkout registers and both Barnes and Noble and Walmart had lots of them (with the small codes only). And no, I’ve never heard it called Nobes 😂

Can't lie, I miss the plastic cmf blind bags already. The boxes feel weird.

The PAB boxes are probably an improvement for adults who want more lego pieces as they flex, but a terrible idea for kids, I've already seen a kid stuff a box so full it exploded in the store, the mess and crying after was not epic

for weighing espresso I was able to find very precise scales on Amazon by searching for scales meant for jewelry! That may work for weighing the CMFs :)

Get a scale that has a calibration weight included, so you know how accurate it is each time you go to use it. Amazon had one for around $20.

I saw another Lego RU-vidr use it. I guess you can use it to weigh the Mini Brands( the make it mini) to find the ones you want also.

I bought that same kitchen scale at Walmart to weigh CMFs, and yeah, it was not precise enough. I hope the codes don't let us down. I already purchased the Goatherd online from a reseller.

Went to my local Walmart and I found a combination of the new and old QR codes. I was able to find the gamer girl I needed by scanning the code. It was odd that there were different code types on the boxes. The code that gives you the data you need is double the size of the old code.

The Walmart closest to me put the LEGO behind glass in November. But in all honesty they should put everything behind glass at that store.

I think they should have made the new CMF packaging the same as the old packaging but with the same bamboo-cardboard material as shopping bags so that collectors are able to feel out what is needed rather than buying unnecessary amounts of CMF's so that it is also more economical for the average consumer. I have a feeling both Emily and Ross would agree!

A Scale is useless. I Bought a case of marvel figs (Sold the two extra sets on Facebook Market Place for retail Cost) and found that the glue on empty boxes had a 0.12g difference heaviest box to lightest box and the Tap/Cut of the folded instruction book had a 0.8g difference heaviest booklet to lightest booklet. Meaning a 18.99g detective your missing could weigh upwards to 19.19g.

If you dont want to buy a scale you could always use one in the produce department.

They need to bring the bags back because I've seen some ripped open.

I order 2 of the six packs from Amazon or Walmart. The boxes don't have duplicates in individual boxes. I've had the best luck of not getting any duplicates that way.

So they sell them in paper boxes to be less wasteful, but because of the boxes you can't easily tell which you get. Which basically increases the waste again. Not a good move from Lego tbh. They should just sell a "collectors box" of each series (with all mini figures) and the small boxes for impulse buyers.

I’m in Scotland so might be different here than in USA, but the number on the bottom of the box (where the QR code looking thing is) are all different. I got all the marvel CMFs with no duplicates checking these. Could have just been a total fluke but seems to me that they are that way for a reason??

I couldn't find any of the boxes in Target, haven't checked Walmart yet though. The official Lego store I went to had the blind boxes behind the register. I couldn't even weigh them.

The stores were clear prior to them being going out the first time, the boxes were not going to sell. Stores want to put these on the checkouts , boxes take up too much room.. in the UK three major supermarkets had already pulled out before the last collection released. The forth did after seeing public response. The two largest two stores chain refused to hold these after the theft of previous. Excluding the thefts Lego brought this on themselves… BUT i think a huge factor is cost more than saving environment. They put CMFs up by 50p and the world went mad… this way they can go back to bags and charge the full price they want.. and simply say we got the cost of the packing change, the expense of the more costly packing and the loss of three failed ranges to cover.. now figures are £7.50 each… If they go back to bags we are almost certainly seeing an extravagant rise in cost BUT people will be too busy cheering to worry about that, thats their hope. In the meantime scalpers selling them for £7/10 each because they bothered opening boxes. Its a joke, we got stores not stocking them and scalpers profiting because of legos poor choices..

I ordered a little one on Amazon ( fits in Pocket). I tried my ring on it. And it works. However we have no minifigs anywhere in my city. I'm about to order a 6box from Amazon.

you dont need scales for weighing if you have codes and qr code scanner on your phone as qr code tell you answer without having to weigh it as i just sued qr code way and got 4 knights, 3 goats from 7 boxes i picked.

you need to get a micro scale. it weighs in .001 grams very accurate. It cost around 40.00 dollars

The boxes aren’t the best.adults and children can’t really get the minifigures they want I am also a little disappointed in the boxes.Whenever I go to Walmart the boxes are just torn apart.
