I've been a minimalist and under consuming, not knowing these terms until they became trendy, for over 35 years. Basically, I live within my means, I like have a curated, simple life and I do things like hanging my laundry, drive a 11 year old Jeep, not eating out, I don't buy into trends or having to have certain things or things for that matter. It's just another way to sell something that sounds trendy or cool. Go live! I'm an artist who works in aerospace to pay my bills.

Its not the same, minimalist is about owning as less as possible and underconsumption is about reusing everything you have and not buying new ones, but it could be involving collecting a lot of things which minimalists don't do
