Hello everyone! Today's video is about minimalism. We'll talk about what it is, engineering strategies such as bottom up and top down, and why you should think twice before adding dependencies to your project. Minimalism can be your best friend, as an engineer :)

1:43 if the efficency of code stayed the same, the hardware advancements would cause every program ever written to become faster and faster.

Interpreted / JIT languages need to be banned. Also, most people (normies) should not be allowed to own or use computers. Software was better when computers were expensive, slower and hard to use. Modern civilization must fallm

1- Interpreters/jit languages have there places. not everything needs to be compiled, and sometimes a small bash script is fine, and doesnt need to be compiled. sure many programs shouldnt be written in them, but they have there place. 2- The idea that software was better in the old simply isnt true. Software was way less useful back when computers where slower and expensive/hard to use ,not to mention, theres tens of thousands if not more stories of people reporting having to deal with awful software. back then you had maybe a manuel. Nowadays if your software breaks, you have the internet that can help you, and overall its far easier to fix something thats broken. 3- the idea that most people shouldnt use computers is stupid. computers help with alot of problems, that makes our life wayy easier, and just because people dont have the same asthetic that you do or design philosophy, or knoweldge in software that you do doesnt mean they shouldnt be allowed to use computers.

Hmm, I kind of understand you.. but without interpreted languages (such as javascript, php, python, and many others), the web probably wouldn't be the way we know today. I think every language has its purpose and we should carefully analyse and choose the best fit for the job.
