I love that simple human mirror! Another RU-vidr taught me that if you put a claw clip on that sensor when it comes on, it will stay on til you take it off- if it bothers you going off. I’ve had mine a few years now and I LOVE it!

Beth, you got me hooked on the Glossier skin tint a few months ago. I was skeptical, but it’s fantastic. I typically set it lightly with a powder foundation. I actually just picked up the Merit moisturizer and foundation stick yesterday. I can’t wait to try them both with the Glossier like you did in this video! I really feel for you and your mom’s experience. I’m not caring for my mom, but I do care for my disabled son. It’s so frustrating when people talk about him in front of him and will ask me questions instead of asking him. It’s so insulting - especially when he has been answering questions perfectly well. It’s really disheartening.

Thank you! 💖 my parents played bridge, too. I have played quite a lot of Euchre, which I think made it pretty easy to understand the basic concept of bridge, but I am very much on square one. I love the idea of connecting over card games. So civilized!

Hi sweet Beth! My parents used to play Bridge all of the time. Yoi brought back fond memories. They'd play with the neighbors and take turns as to whose house they'd play in. I agree with you. I think older adults are treated like children when hospitalized. That's not my case. I question everything, and normally have done my research so I understand what's going on. Unlike when my mom was living, and never questioned anything. You have to be your own advocate. I'm glad that you could be with your mom. Sorry about your incident on Saturday. Perhaps wear headphones. And not making light of the subject, you are gorgeous. The Beverly Hills Blush Bomb is beautiful! The tarte maracuja lip products are great. There's all different varieties. Funny, when I'm with Rachel and her friends on Thanksgiving (they're late 30s, early 40s), I feel very welcomed. They invite me into their conversations and I never feel awkward. People shouldn't judge by age. What that head nurse did to your mom was wrong. Hope that you had a wonderful time at your 1st Bridge lesson. Have a wonderful week. ❤❤😘💝

My parents played bridge too! I loved it when they hosted because we always had great snacks around. We were loved to sleep in the night. I’ve felt intimidated to learn, but our first lesson is so fun and I think I really enjoy playing. I’m so glad to hear you had great experiences with folks from your daughter’s generation. I also totally agree that you have to be your own advocate. Come to this over time.💖

Appreciate you sharing your perspective - very thoughtful. I'm an urban dweller and totally get what you described. I feel seen and valued at work, thank goodness. And I'm happily married to a wonderful man. I just miss the harmless flirtations that make one feel attractive.

As an RN, I feel bad for anyone who doesn’t have an advocate in the healthcare system. My mom says there is a picture of me with that circle ⭕️ around my picture with a line through it in her hospital because I don’t tolerate any BS and I will call it out, address it and ensure it is handled. I went to a university like that too! Our Lady of Holy Cross College

I think once we hit 50 we as women are not seen as relevant anymore. Thankfully, I do not have to be with many people anymore since I am not in the work force now. But yeah, the older we get over 50 and into old age it gets even worse. I saw it with my mom too and she was only 77 when she died and she was highly intelligent most of her life until she was struck with dementia at 75.
