Your room is SO beautiful!. I wouldn't call this minimalist, though. I would call it "minimalist aesthetic", but not minimalist because it is very organized and you do have a LOT of knick knacks and decorative things around/unnecessary items.
I read a few comments mentioning how this is not minimalistic. From what I thought, minimalism is different for every individual. Some people could have under 50 items and live in a van traveling the world. Somebody else could have more and not count all the items they possess. Isn't minimalism all about having only what brings you joy and truly are intetional about only keeping material pieces that has value to them? I'm not a minimalist but I have seen a few videos on this topic and thats what I have gathered on the subject.
Minimalism _is_ about keeping what you need and what makes you happy.. but a movie about minimalism literally said that things _can’t_ make you happy. She had a lot of things/decorations she didn’t need but I mean sure it’s different for everyone I guess.
+From Kat ahh that sounds like so much fun!! I moved and wanted to decorate like this but my boyfriend said it was too girly lol so we compromised. But girl, GO CRAZY with the decorating!
Thank you so much! I seriously appreciate your kind words and your explanation! I couldn’t have said it better myself. And yes, I moved and I’m so very happy in this new space :) now because of your comment, I’m even more motivated to continue with Konmari-ing my home even more! It’s a journey but so rewarding and refreshing. Good luck with your road to minimalism! ♡
Jasmine Rossol Thank you! I come from a background of hoarding so it's a long and challenging road towards minimalism, but so worth it! My house gets happier every day! :D
What is the color of your room called? My room is currently pink and it's very girly and I want a more mature style, like yours. Any advice on how to pick a basic color for my room?
I would advise white because you can put accessories and decorations that correspond with your interests or you can put pale neutral colours, like pale peach or pale blue. You don't necessarily have to paint the entire room, you can have one side pink if you like, and the rest of the room white
oh yeah and jasmine I have a small question. you would see sitting when I interview? for my blog. i am a belgian blogger. hope you see it down! loves Luna xx my mail: lunaswonderland@outlook.com

What a lovely peaceful retreat! I'm probably commenting too late to get a reply but would love to know where to get a "Just Start" mug like yours. Have searched internet but was unable to find one similar. I would be so very grateful if anyone can provide a link to a vendor of this mug. Thank you!
+chelsea alexandra oh thanks! They came with the house and I used to hate that I was stuck with them. I ended up growing to like them tho haha and now they match my room :)
Soooo inspirational!! Hope my new room will look as stylish as yours! Would you tell me where I can find the pad for charging the mouse? Thx in advance :)
Did you have a general "picture" in your mind of what you wanted your room to look like or did you just take what you already had and build upon it? I love your style but I'm struggling in my decorating process.
+Hillary Osborne I kind of had an idea of what I wanted (white and neutral with plants basically haha) but didn't have anything specific in mind when it came to decor pieces. My room got to the state it was after many years. First I got white sheets, later I painted my dresser, I'd pick up decor pieces here and there, etc. all the while picking up inspiration from here and there. What you can do is make a Pinterest board and fill it with things you like. When I moved, I did that and figured out common themes in room/apartment photos that I liked and it kind of gave me my general overall theme.
