This minimally invasive technique allows surgeons to remove skull base tumors as large as softballs through the nose, with less trauma to the brain and critical nerves than with a traditional craniotomy.

4 years ago moreless my hormones are going up & down. first they took blood testing MRI and found pituitary tumor. 4 years later still have it every neurosurgeon I go to send me to another neurosurgeon I found only one that says he's wanted to operate but all he does is send me to CT scans three times a year to watch it. I feel like he's trying to give me cancer I have no one. I have family and friends but none of them look for me or care. Even had a divorce cuz of it. It's a messed up world but it's mostly about money and most people are selfish. You'll be lucky to find someone with empathy for you. I finally found a doctor that said he can do radiosurgery. I'm just trying to find out if radiation is worse than operation? and maybe also make some friends people if they are dealing with the same. My blessings to you all suffering with the same.

Robin Morino I’m so sorry you are going through this. I am as well. But I do have some support. I am in the beginning stages of this. I just found out. So I don’t feel I can answer questions for ya. As I have the same questions. But I wish us both luck and answers and health.

In ireland i went public and its midnite on day 2 after the op and im in a room with 7 other patients and iv had zero sleep with all the snoaring and people in and out. You need calmness after a big op not craziness.you will spend the first week sleeping sitting as your nose will be congested. I will write a detailed report if anybody needs help

@mikewatt8706
@mikewatt8706 3 года назад
@@syedahermain4198 did the cancer spread from the breast cancer? If so its called secondary brain cancer. My situation was different as in i only had a non cancerous tumor below the brain. If your mum has a tumor inside her brain thats a more serious issue. Im not a brain surgeon so i cant answer your question. What will surgery do for your mum. Will it cure here or give her time. Its not good if cancer has entered the brain from another part of the body. If it travelled to the brain it can be in lots more areas. Really sorry.

I was advised to seek medical treatment outside the country, my family sent my medical records to different hospital around the world and we got a cost estimate of the surgery. It turns out that my family cannot afford it, I have been living with the tumor since then 2years now. It now affecting my eyesight please someone should help..I don't need any money sent to my account. Put to the hospital and invite me. Please

I had it done in 4 months ago, when I was on the OR table waiting to be knocked out I said “I promise not to sneeze if you don’t!” We all laughed! Post op instructions were to avoid sneezing (yeah right!) if I had to sneeze open my mouth so the force is directed that way! I’m still freaked out when I sneeze! They also don’t want you bending forward for several weeks.... but I had to tip my head forward to do mandatory nasal rinses 2x a day which usually made me sneeze! And recovery isn’t a few days or weeks, guess it depends which type of tumor. I had Cushing’s Disease, I’m in bed more than not almost 5 months later. I go to physical therapy 2x a week. I’m looking at 12-18 month recovery, hopefully no recurrence. So I do know what it’s like & the joke is still funny! Humor has helped me survive a very scary rare disease.
