This is a short review of my experiences of receiving, setting up and using the Minimax S600P bandsaw (previously designated the MM24). The Minimax S600P is manufactured in Italy by Centauro, and distributed in the USA by Minimax USA. My saw is a 3 phase, 7.5 HP machine and is setup with a Lenox Woodmaster CT, a 1" wide carbide tooth blade that is optimized for resawing.

Thanks for a great no bs review! The machine is indeed a Beast - but no doubt a delight to use being a Centaur. I expect it is quiet and vibration free - like my ACM 600. I conclude some time ago the Italians know how to make the best bandsaws on the planet!

That thing is a beast!! I have the MM16 and have been very happy with it. I have never had a problem with drift, maybe because the wheels are flat. The micro switch for the foot switch quit working and it is impossible to access without removing the lower wheel, so I haven't replaced it yet. Regardless, they are great bandsaws!

Jack Bench Woodworking I've barely explored the full potential of the machine, but so far I'm loving it. I don't use the foot pedal too often, but last time I tried it worked, so hopefully it will be there for me if there is an emergency.
