100% agree with Simon on this. Tactics were never an issue, its the shite AI defending and gameplay which was the issue. The tactics are basically the same like Simon said - instructions etc always existed.

@ahmedfarooqui7350 that's just not true though. The shooting changed. Free kicks changed. The feel of the players changed. Goal keepers improved. I mean it's football it's not going to be like night and day.
As much as I hate EA I feel like at times they simply can't win when it comes to the tactical part of the game. Hardcore players want more control over their player movement, actions etc hence FC IQ however casuals simply can't be arsed doing it.
you would be right but both sides get screwed because the features they release DONT EVEN WORK. this year there was the 75 depth glitch so no one benefits if the features don't work as intended that's their own fault
Yeah it feels like EA are pretty screwed, I genuinely don't see how they can make a game that's universally accepted as good without starting from scratch again

It’s because they’re trying to cater to both competitive and casuals. No game has ever survived trying to blend both into one, except maybe fortnite, and even they keep everything in separate modes. And then like another comment said, the game is broken from its foundation every year. They don’t help themselves
i just want fluid/smooth gameplay. i want to be able to tackle and win the ball without it ping ponging and the opponent winning it via some sort of glitch, i want to be able to concede goals that aren't 40 yard trivelas, i want to be able to play 60 fps and not feel like i'm playing on 30. these are the things they should be focusing on- not 5x5 volta to give themselves a pat on the back and say they've done something to increase sale price lol
It is a good run as Vini literally did the exact run and scored the exact goal against Bayern in real life. But people will say anything to hate on EA at this point.

Its the same game it was last year and FC24 already has the ability to let players minic actual play styles so the IQ shit is just the same thing but rebranded. They’ll do the same thing with this game as with the last, break something that wasnt broken and then bring out FC26 and say they improved AI.
Tactical foul is different from diving bc is the opponent that is diving which u have no control over the situation n might get red or yellow for no reason whereas tactical foul ur in control n taking a risk of getting a red or a yellow depending on the area u foul.Diving also has more consequences specifically in the penalty area n it slow down the game much more than tactical foul.
Feel like these Player Roles are a very Football Manager way of doing Player Instructions... And PlayStyles are just a rebrand of the player trait badges that used to be in FIFA 10-14🤷🏿♂
I dint know why people complain in the thing.. if u play tactically u will know. what do they expect FIFA to make every year in improvements... they have made it good alwas and the rush thing is good and people don't see it as how much good it is.. always complaining.. those who complain obs don't play tactically and just menus and normal.. the prs players know the real difference
I was just about to say the offside rule in the 5v5 mode made me think of NHL. Yeah I guess it is also to prevent a player just camping in the final quarter. Tbh I even think adding a no GK option, added that you could only score in the final third or that you would have to score from a closer area might make it more intriguing. It looks kind of like it's technically going to be a 4v4 with GKs camping at the goals
The problem is that there’s way too many things to do so rush will get pushed away. Rush and Volta are the same thing to try and resurrect fifa street. The thing that made fifa street was that it was its own game. You could load up Normal fifa if you wanted to play UT or career mode whilst in fifa street you played something entirely different…

When I started on 16 it was fun. My friend was wayyyy better than me and it showed. 24 was the first year that I was able to beat him more than he beat me but I 100% think he's better. Every year it gets less fun and feels more like a cash grab
what do u actully expect they cant just reinvent football they just update it and make it better and smoother each year its not going to get any different
I expect them to add things everyone has been begging for years for, Multiplayer career mode, unique stories (and yes I mean more than one path) more customisation for pro players such as new hair styles, new kit features like rolled up sleave and I dont know if they can but alow us to use kits from previous seasons for career mode, Ea have so much money that getting licences for nations like Nigeria, Japan, Jamaica and more shouldn't be hard and would elevat clubs and career mode, instead they add Volta 2.0 and a womans career mode
5:14 dont agree with Simon. If someone has put time and effort into their strategy and beat you then they're better than you. Previous games don't matter.
The problem is ea cant make fifa how rockstar makes gta. Ea have to release it every year to mirror the football season. And if they release a game every year for the past 30 years or so, how do you want them to improve the game, without eventually adding these things like fc iq. I remember a few yrs ago where people was complaining that its the same game every year, but theres only so much you can do in 12 months
Terrible take. You could very easily do yearly updates (free or paid) with all IRL roster updates. Then release a new game every, let's say 3 years, with actual changes, giving EA time for significantly different and tested gameplay.

Totally agree with you Simon I can’t be arsed doing all these different tactics. Why can’t UT have one game mode which has the OG gameplay and tactics and another game mode which has the new gameplay and tactics? Like for instance you can use the same UT team but you have the choice to play OG gameplay or new style gameplay and you only get matched against others using the same game mode. Kinda like Fortnite with build and no build game modes. Everybody’s happy!
I feel like very few people would actually choose the new gameplay. Plus, it would make it increasingly more difficult for EA to justify their yearly 60$ (or now 70$?) price tag, if the core game would have little to no changes

“I want to be able to just play the game, and beat someone I’m better than.” True… BUT that is not the mindset of a true football mind. This surprises me to come from someone who claims to love football so much. If I’m not as good as someone, but I can alter my tactics to counter the way they play and give them problems… are they REALLY better than me? That being said, I’m also not convinced this is much different than what’s already in the game.
