That happens to me when I apply irritants. It'll open the pores. I started using my own whipped Shea butter and every since then my pores do not get large after applying. But my cannabis consumption makes them larger lol

Hi , thank you for such an informative channel. I have suffered with my brown skin issues all my life and finally I'm correcting my routine thanks to you. I also get an allergy( or bacteria infection) everytime something bites me or my skin get too dry. I thought it was eczema but it doesn't look like it. 🤔 what can I use it my body is attacking it own skin.

@@madhuyadla2930 hi. I had large pores too. With the use of salicylic acid my pores have drastically reduced. So yes you can use it. But sunscreen is a must.
I had very very bad acne, and it is true that sugar is your main enemy. Since I reduced sugar consumption, guess what... my acne got better and I would get a pimple once every couple of weeks. I love sugar, and I love ice creams. Be careful to compensate with sports and drinking a lot of water if you have had sugar. This will really help your skin.
Wouldn’t it be better to add the hyaluronic acid after you wash your face on damp skin? Then add the niaciamide, u can also add niaciamide to your moisturizer. Also how do u feel about toners ? Are they required ?
I'm so happy i found you tbh all these other skincare gurus are caucasian and our skin is very diferent from theirs so what works for them can't work for us.

I’m confused. I have hyperpigmentation and I’m age 55. I just saw your video on the anti-aging skincare routine. The one that had the double cleansing, the color science products, and the anti antiagex serum (I live in the us so I would do the four Ordinary products). But I also have large pores so I’m trying to figure out how I would incorporate the reducing pores products into the anti-aging routine. The hyaluronic acid, the paula’s choice skin perfecting, and the charcoal mask. Which step in the layering process....day or night routine?
I’m a little confused. Here you have the 2% but in other videos you show and recommend the .5 and 1%? From other videos I would gather that the 2% is too strong for skin of color and could cause hyperpigmentation. Could you please clarify? Thanks so much! 😊
I recently wanted to shop for a good moisturizer which is when I came across this product, its the ponds super light gel moisturizer, its key ingredients are hyaluronic acid and vitamin E, it also has niacinamide in it, along with much more ingredients so idk if I should purchase it or not

But,I found plant glycerin worked the best/ fastest to tightened pores / reduced wrinkles ,e specially w/ rose water ,my fave is Garnier facial mist ,skin active line rose water mist !! The best at drugstores !! I have oily skin ,but they work the very best ! I love charcoal masks !!And clay masks !! I am personally against any scrubs !! You haven't mentioned the use of a toner. Doesnt a Toner help ..cant we use a Toner right after we cleanse our face to shrink the pores and then apply the serum and moisturizer...

I have a question about The Ordinary hyaluronic acid. I was reading reviews on various sites and there were complaints of it causing pilling or crumbling off. Especially when other products were put on top of it. Have you experienced this issue?
Yes! The NMF+HA does this when I apply my Cerave SPF. It’s fine if I forego the sunscreen but I don’t like to do that because I have melasma that UV makes worse. Unfortunately, I’ve tried at least a dozen or more sunscreens and this one is the only one that doesn’t break me out or come with a very harsh white cast that I have to pile makeup on top of to hide. So I end up going without the moisturizer.
Siatta Mass I have seen other people post that they only use it at night and then put on there moisturizer and that works. Just don’t use it in morning.

Retinoids caused large visible pores and the pores are connecting to forms lines on my cheeks when I smile. It’s been 1 year and the damage is still visible. Have I permanently damaged my skin? There are a lot of us suffering from this phenomenon and no one has been able to make the pores invisible before retinoids.

i just followed your advice for the first night with the following layering[ SIMPLE WASH>Garnier Micellar cleansing water>Alpha Arbutin> The Ordinary niacinamide 10% + zinc 1%> CeraVe Moisturizer ]. I have never gone to bed with my skin feeling so healthy in over 2 years. Thanks!
@@Leah_Hilton I have switched. To a better routine. This routine worked for 2 -3 days, but then my acne came back My current and most effective night routine where I don't wakeup with sebum acne. I've been doing this for 3 weeks now, getting great results. 1. Farmacy Green Clean 2. FAB Oat Cleanser 3. Naturium Niacinamide 4. Hada Labo Anti Aging Hydrator 5. FAB Ultra Repair cream
Thank you for the video dr. Rattan. I noticed that since I have been using the The Ordinary niacinamide 10% + zinc 1% (after 4 days of use), that my pores have become larger instead of shrinking. What could I be doing wrong? Do more people have thesame experience? I have stopped using the niacinamide 10% + zinc 1%. What would you advice me?
Perhaps it triggered a purge? Continue to use it and see what happens in long term. Some ingredients can cause a purge initially and your skin will get worse at first but then improve in the long run.
@Fabienne VDK This is both purge and reaction . I have stopped and would be giving a break to my skin for a while. I would rather not use anything than harm my skin. Purge woul only be pimple like ….. but this is more like rash all over my face. I took pictures before using and compare, no improvement. The past few days of not using all those products I have not had excess oil on my face. Maybe I’m one of those not getting the positive from The Ordinary products

Hello doc. I have a question: On Amazon you can buy the hyaluronic acid Powder and with that a serum is prepared. There are many people who do this as the powder is very cheap when compared to hyaluronic acid creams. Is the use of hyaluronic acid Powder safe for skin of colour on regular basis?
