Stop off at the Lundy Lake to Oneida Lake trail on the way to Mammoth Lakes. This awesome climb in the snow was located just west of Mono Lake itself (Hoover Wilderness). Along the way I saw many sweet mountain views, creek crossings and interesting old mining equipment. A worthwhile stop in the Eastern Sierra Mountains.

My 2 brothers and our kids hiked it in 2021, amazing country. Pulled some nice native trout out of Oneida. The mine collapsed about 10 years ago the first time I was up there. 3 decades of Lundy for my family, absolutely heaven on earth

I made that hike in the summer of 1969. Kicked my butt as a young man. Some of those buildings were still standing then. Doubt if I could do it now. Absolutely beautiful. Thanks for the memories.
