ABOUT THIS GAME
In the space-colony simulation game Oxygen Not Included you'll find that scarcities of oxygen, warmth and sustenance are constant threats to your colony's survival. Guide colonists through the perils of subterranean asteroid living and watch as their population grows until they're not simply surviving, but thriving...
Just make sure you don't forget to breathe.
Build Extensive Bases and Discover What it Takes to Survive:
Everything in your space colony is under your control, from excavation and resource allocation right down to plumbing and power systems. Resources will begin depleting with your first breath, however, so be sure to dig fast if you want to live.
It's Mind Over Matter with Stress Simulations:
Keep the psychological impact of survival at bay with fun leisure activities, great accommodations and even better food for your colony. Duplicants each have different and potentially destructive ways of reacting to stress, so be sure to always keep them happy. Whatever the cost.
Avoid Boiling with Thermodynamics:
Temperature control is a constant concern in space; too cold and you'll freeze, too hot and you'll fry. Keep tabs on ambient environmental temperatures and your colony's heat production to maintain a nice, cozy atmosphere for your colonists.
Enhance Efficiency through Complex Gas and Liquid Simulations:
Create interlocking pipe systems to swiftly deliver fuel and liquid to critical areas of your base. Plan well and be rewarded as your colony transforms into an imperishable, well-oiled machine.
Take Charge with Power Grid Simulations:
Choose from a multitude of power sources including coal, hydrogen, natural gas or just plain old elbow grease. Manage power runoff, circuit overloads and meltdowns to keep your colony running smoothly.
Always Keep Yourself Breathing:
Enter the Oxygen Overlay and watch air moving through your base in real time. Monitor carbon dioxide accumulation and oversee oxygen generation processes to mold your colony into a veritable deep-space oasis.
Waste Nothing through Extreme Recycling:
Make use of every last resource for a base that truly exemplifies efficiency. Recycle waste into precious fuel, process unbreathable gas into air or harness the natural processes of wild creatures for food. If you're clever, you might even be able to run a base off colonist farts.
Explore Diverse, Procedurally Generated New Worlds:
Summon new worlds with a push of a button. Experience tons of untamed space rocks, then suffocate in them!

Put the Oxylite container up high, and you will never have the over pressure issue... the CO2 will never get that high. Great series.

Hook the gantries up to the 'ready to launch' automation of the launch pad. They retract before the rocket launches automatically.

one thing i realised is so scarce on this seed is waterweed, its a really good seed since u dont get access to high end food til late game, even berry sludge is hard to shoot for without petroleum

I seldom can do more than 2 planetoids with any real established functionality. But something I try to do on every planetoid I expect to spend time on, I try to get a few food seeds and a pip to them, ideally with an arbor acorn and a thimble reed seed. Lock the pip up with the seeds (with obstructions to limit where it can plant) and let the pip have it's lifespan to put the plants in place. This produces a nice spot where i can get thimble reed, lumber if needed, a small amount of food all without consuming resources other than time and the original seeds. Throw a park sign in there, you're guaranteed a nature reserve if you size the area right. This makes for a small "one dupe" outpost that is always ready for when you come back. I'm not sure if this would be useful, but if you moved the timer on the actual supply radbolt chamber and place the target of a radbolt reflector there, any overshot of the final (left most) storage would be reflected up to the reflector that actually feeds the launchers, which, if the launchers aren't accepting radbolts, would then hit the "return" reflector on the right to the "overflow" storage. This should shut down the system with fewer radbolts wasted. based on my quick analysis. Using oxylite for rocket oxygen. If you lifted the storage containing the oxylite away from the floor, say on a second level comprised of mess or airflow tiles carbon dioxide _should_ drop lower before reaching the storage, so the oxylite should never touch the carbon dioxide, and thus eliminate the overpressure override that results in your popper eardrums scenario. In the layout you're doing at 12:39, the upper storage bin would be a good place for the oxylite to be stored. The only war Carbon dioxide would be in that tile is if your duplicant exhaled _right_ there.

You could mod your explorer rocket into a mining as well. That way while the dup is idle they can be using the telescope to open up more space or building data banks for you.

You need a buffer gate between the radbolt generation and the storage. No need for the storage if you are generating every time you need a single radbolt and the generation will be higher efficiency if you only load up phosphorite when you need to.

I could probably delay the filling up, yes. Will put that buffer gate somewhere. But I eliminated the waste of phosphorite with the use of the mechanised airlocks.

they should really make a bigger rocket cabin, even the small module is pretty useless and minimal. you should see the videos of people melting the steel walls and building bases inside the rocket interiors ( just cant melt the space ports or airlock)

@@gcl2783 the only real fix i see for it is making the walls out of neutronium but then they have the problem with heat, even if they fixed it they wouldnt be able to roll back the prev destroyed rocket cabins, just a fix to prevent future break outs

Unfortunately, the number doesn't add up, the game keeps on counting even when you're in the ESC menu. I often leave the game running while editing or when I take a break.

Doesn't the engine produce power? For the drilling rocket, it is almost always going to be flying. Solar panels are useful when the locket is landed and the engine provides no power, or when you need more power than the rocket engine provides.

I don't think it counts as flying when it's stationary in the mining field. I will have no solar panels for a rocket that goes back and forth between planetoids, such as liquid cargo. But more to that very soon!
