Banded, ribbon or striped jasper, rather than banded agate, as there's a higher level of impurities cf chert & chalcedony, yellows and reds, and the banding is layered and not concentric, with crystal core, or eyes & eyelets. From my (aged 7!) 1978 edited by Bill Myatt, Dictionary of Australian Gemstones. Love your innovative thinking, Vogus! (Look up "radiolarians" - fossils, white pinheads under X10 magnification in the jasper).

Chris hang out for the weather it will make panning easier. Just put your unclassified material in the pan hold it over your head and let Mother Nature do the work. Unless the state has banned that method of mining. I am sure if you left the high banker set up in a storm the state would claim it was not hand powered so maybe avoiding Mother Nature is understandable.

That's some awesome gold and garnets, Chris! Great cleanup! Garnets are my birthstone and some of those had nice carat weight. I would hold onto those. The beautiful agates and jasper were also beautiful. It tells us that the beginning of the creek starts in a well-producing area. The agate/jasper you ask us to comment on.... I'm no geologist, but the swirls I saw make that a beautiful specimen. It would look gorgeous if polished! Thank you for sharing another scenic, calming, gold-digging video! Blessings from Alabama ❤️

Agree. I think that's where a lot of his fine gold was carried all the way down. Still a great clean out for such a small amount of paydirt. That small creek could produce ounces in the long run. Depending on how long it has been running gold and the changes in the shape of the creek. That's a potential lifetime spot that will produce good gold for Chris and Gadzee. I hope they are able to keep lowlife jumpers out of there.

I’ve metal detected for over 30 years, father was a Whites and Tesoro dealer for years so I’ve tested every model that came out along with my twin brother who went along with me on our 400 Acre piece of land that was once a Union Civil War camp and a field hospital was in our old two story house we used as storage. Every time someone would see us at one of our permissions we’ve had since kids (we mainly detected woods, creeks, or fields) they would inevitably ruin it and sneak in get caught by the owner and the owner would have to give us the liability story. Finally we just started detecting deep in the woods where no one could see us, I plan on doing some sniping out in one of our creeks that’s been known to produce gold. It’s the only local creek that’s actually in history books with recorder history of it, we have a smaller spring fed creek running beside our house and oddly enough there’s black sand in it as well. Either way I plan on getting one of those little sluice boxes to carry on my back. I’m medically retired from law enforcement after major back injuries and that’s something I deal with daily and so I am constantly trying to find something to keep my mind off of it. Just had a shoulder surgery as well so I’m itching to get out even though it’s 60°F in the days and 30°’s at night. Perfect for deer hunting but not for getting in ice cold water. The water level is low enough now that any bed rock areas I can find I’m going to look for what’s out there

I wonder if you can use a tarp held up as a sluice. keep one end tight and the other not as tight so you get a slope. then just run water over the tight end to wash out the light stuff. That way you just pick out the bigger rocks and keep going to get cons. I'm sure it wouldn't work as good as a sluice but I think you could go faster and a rough canvas would apply friction for the heavies. just a mental exercise more than anything.

Chris - how do you like the Jarvie riffle (punch plate) versus miner's moss at the top of the sluice where the water drops down? Is the smaller material that goes through the Jarvie riffle able to exit the front (downstream end) or does it get clogged up? Looks like it's working well regardless. Good fun!
