i have only ever played SRS and Zoomancer but even I genuinely think that SRS is the best minion archetype there is. The fact that they just zoom really fast to enemies and melts them so quickly is what impressed me so much. Zoomancer is nice to play since there are lesser buttons to press but like you said the skellies AI is odd at times and there is huge reliance on AG for clear speed
i'd point out as a HRoC player last league i would say this is THE build you want to use in t17 because it basically ignores all t16 and t17 mods in existence, since it isnt affect by any traditional minion debuffs mods that t17 mods can throw at you and ignore alot of build bricking mods that other minion builds are afraid of as well
Really loved this video and convinced me to give Holy Relic a try for 3.25. Hope to see a video for that build as the mapping looked incredibly smooth.
Damn. Came across this while looking for a league start, mostly afk, Blighted Map build. Didn't really help ME, but this is a great video. Ill share it around!
I like this video a lot, is very well edited and has good information. With that said, I think you overrated BAMA's playstyle a bit. I think it plays like ass lol
it is bad, but lm a summon reaper main and l find that build way smoother and better dps then BAMA, and its better now we can go trigger wands and just use skitterbots+tempest boots for the loss of bleed while moving
Animate weapon is so powerful but also so terrible to play. It can be a very viable league starter until you can't stand summoning the weapons every map anymore.
i was a minion player for like 5 leagues straight, when minions were good, during the Carrion Golem times, the Syndicate Operative times. Never again. Minions die over and over, and having to invest in minion survivability makes you invest less in their damage and your survivability. any other arquetype is better than minion summoner in everyway possible. would never recommend to anybody play minions, unles to a new player that's not going to do hard content. minios state is like if you hard to spend points and mods in gear into "sword durability". otherwise your sword would die mid combat, and you would have to go reforge another weapon. it's just stupid. i understand having to spend in minion survivability, but then make them do more damage baseline. so we can invest into minion survivability and our own and still have damage. otherwise theres no way you do hard mapping content with a minion build without dying you or the minions. maybe the random, op build, but that's an accident. and holy relic is might have the minion tag, but come on, minion lovers will never consider a fucking lantern a minion. wtf is that shit?
I mixed srs and vaal skeleton for poison version, and without endgame items it was awesome on pinacle bosses, so I thing it can be really good option for ubers as well, once you have a good build. Sadly many league mechanics cannot be played with these gems, coz the clear speed is preety slow...
Your 3.23 Lightning SRS was GOATED for me. Heck, with Affliction's corpses coming back in the form of Ritual reward corpses...do you think you're gonna update it?
"Minion Defence Section" Laughs in Dancing Dervish. Very good guide though, shame it's missing anything on what's about (depending on snapshotting) what's about to become meta or the new RF Holy Relic is not a newcomer, it's existed and blasted as a very balanced build for a few years now. It's lancing steel that made it ubiquitous since it used to be a complex trigger build and lancing steel is ezmode.
Minions used to reward the setup and the clunk with superior damage and easy gearing. But we lost these advantages along the way. It's difficult to justify Minions compared to other options these days especially since their clear is B tier at best
I played the lightning skeleton build in Necropolis and I found the build way too squishy for myself. I can see it as a sanctum character but not for juiced t16 or normal t17s
@10:12 plus that they nerfed the skelly warriors along with mages by 30%...and GGG never bothered to compensate the warriors which literally died after the nerf...
I've played minions every league and often tied summon reaper and I can confidently say it is not a good build. It may be a viable build I can't say for sure but it's a notable drop in power from meta builds.
Bama is good and all, but my god the amount of buttons it has. You have your offering + blink arrow + mirror arrow + a dash skill that you constantly have to press.
@@PhazePlays_ Hmm how is the mapping of bama better than the mapping of holy relic? holy relic is basically coc dd playstyle right which was pretty comfy and fast
Pretty much anything. Minions aren't really "unique" dependent so most gear can be farmed or crafted. I would recommend an all around type of build. Focus on Zombies, Skeletons, Golems, and Specters.
BAMA losing adorned = no fucking thanks. I know you never had to go adorned route, but the damage without it is not worth... especially since it requires a non standard AG for damage... and t17s (or even deli t16s last patch for some unknown reason) constantly wreck him.
hey, since you seem to be the go-to srs guy, I wanted to show you my minmaxed crit guardian version: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-g_Nt5ZZyw78.html with strong offense and defense this league (3.25)
