Dunsin is an OG bass player. For those of you who don't know, the bass player is supposed to keep the foundation of the groove which other musicians build on. If you notice, he wasn't all over the place like most of these contemporary bass players who'll play 100 notes in 5secs. The music loses its essence when you keep running all over the place. If you want to improve your groove as a bass player, listen to the old records of Fred Hammond, John P. Kee, Marvin Sapp, Byron Cage, Donnie McClurkin, Kurt Carr, Doobie Powell, Hezekiah Walker, Bishop Clarence McClendon, Yolanda Adams, Cece Winans. You can never go wrong with the old school ministers. Listen to their bass players then you'll understand the bass's role better in music. Also listen to gospel bass players like Andrew Gouche, Reggie Young, Terrence Palmer, Maurice Fitzgerald, Sharay Reed, Alan "Snoop" Evans, Justin Raines, Jermaine Morgan etc. These guys were true to whatever music they played and created timeless legendary basslines and riffs that we all use in our bass playing today.
That's not true, if you can play 100 notes in 5 seconds and they fit in it means you know what you are doing. You talked of Andrew Gouche, Joel Smith, Reggie Young, John P. Kee... common now!.... Respect the evolution bro!
When he was not a public figure and used to play same instrument in church it was not a news but now it is a news since God has elevated him. That’s the beauty of waiting on God
You can't play for Pst Kunle Ajayi and be doing stunts here and there cuz he's style of playing won't allow you to do so. And this made me remember a training Don Moen talked about instrumentalist not overplaying which is a must watch video for every musician in this our generation. Understand your role in d music. Like we say in the audio world of Sound "Less is more" So blessed to hear them play together, even though pst Lékè sounds a bit rusty on the drums but the thing still dey body same with Dunsin.
I believe one thing, that even prodigal pastors children will eventually come back home. We all have been given to God and I can’t wait for the return of prodigals who have decided to stray but who God is bringing back. I can’t wait! I’m so blessed watching this 🥹🥹🥹💗
Doing what you love most is a virtue. If it were some people, because they attend to à particular hight in life, they won't humble themselves to plày the instrument again. Simplicity is elegant. We love you all. Keep the fire burning. One love.
Wow..... My Respect Sir... I also love the neck movement. It shows he is really feeling/enjoying it. No better way to minister than to partake in and enjoy what you are doing.
Woooow, so Pst. Leke was a musician, respect sir. Min. Dunsin, I salute sir, it's still there. And I love the lead guitarist, he is very good. I could pick him out clearly
@Sunnie Snares Music boss abeg how you dey get your loops? Like the on you used in your video 'Distance is never a barrier'? Is the bpm adjustable ? I wan dey use loops practice and I got a sampler pad but nothing to really show for it
This is really heavy 🔥 You would not believe I never knew pastor leke plays the drums ❤wow that’s amazing I so so love this combo 🎉would v been a great privilege to just be on keys with this amazing generals ❤
Eld. Darko Emmanuel from, Ghana. I connect my self to this higher grace. Dunsin Oyekan is my role model. I am also a muscian I know one day we shall meet or God is going to use me like this anointed jewelry. I love him more ♥️🔥🔥
This is not just anointing it's years of hard work. Many people miss handwork with anointing. He has worked over the years to get here. I hate to be spiritual in issues like this
@@onimisilovesonmusic4548 I agree it's hard work too but he won't ever put his gift down to 'his hard work' like those fake American gospel artists. Furthermore you can't talk about Minister Dunsin and not talk about anointing and Spirit . This is what sets his sound apart from others . People that talk about their hardwork are often proud and ready to sell out their gift for a price . Dunsin is known as the Eagle for a reason. God has set him up high . His talent has not done it.
Finally I confirm what I have been thinking since, I used to see him in coza videos back then but the people I asked said he was not an instrumentalist
I guess it's not that you are young, probably you weren't into instrumentalists. So you knew him as singer because you have interest in vocalist. I can relate @deeron
