I used to be Al's neighbour! It was amazing seeing him recording the Revolting Cock's album back in 2003 in his garage. I remember him driniking bunchs of red wine. Good old memories! I got this pic signed up by him!
This is an awesome song by an awesome band!!!!...I've been a fan for over 20 years...since 'just one fix"....they can nail it on the head....politicians beware!!!
Hey guys, thanks for all the replies. My name is Sin Quirin guitarist for Ministry. I actually co-wrote this song with Al. We just released our new album called "Relapse" so go check it out!
The party's over brothers and sisters. It's the end of mankind as we know it. Hail and fire, hail and fire. Cause the tides a risin' and the seas comin' in. A storm's a brewin'
The party's over brothers and sisters It's the end of mankind as we know it Hell and fire, hell and fire 'Cause the tide's a-risin' and the sea is comin' in A storm's a brewing...
I have been trying to figure out what the opening monologue to this song is from for a decade. Is it from a movie? “The party’s over brothers and sisters! It’s the end of mankind as we know it. Hail and fire! Hail and fire! Cuz the tides’a risin’ and the sea is comin’ in! A STORMS’A BREWIN’!”
Yes, I'm for real. Thank you and glad you like my contribution to "The Last Sucker". I also co-wrote "Life Is Good", "The Dick Song" and "Death And Destruction".
@das81 Cheers. When it comes to the early Industrial Metal scene I associate it with bands like Laibach and Oomph, basically the early NDH groups + Ministry. I'm aware of most of these guys you listed but haven't really found the right songs. Time for some happy listening.
@crazyirishdan Ever heard of Laibach? There are many others who had this sound by the early 80's. Ministry were the first ones to present it to a "larger" audience. Before that it was unknown to the masses in general. Kudos to Ministry, but they themselves were hardly without influence. Al Joergensen would be the first to agree.
@LOLHICRONO Search "The wait" by Killing Joke, Pigface, Martin Adkins, too late by "16 volt", nag nag nag, red mask and the crackdown by cabaret voltaire, Der Mussolini, Alle Gegen Alle by DAF, Discipline and "convince poeple" by trobbing gristle, and search Synth punk bands "Screamers", "the units", "nervous breakdown", and all of those in the LA scene. EBM is not the root of most of this stuff. I can assure Skinny Puppy, Ministry and NIN were heavily influenced by Cabaret Voltaire and TG.
@LOLHICRONO You're wrong. I bet you never heard of the band killing joke. The roots of EBM are found in NDH, which was started by Die Krupps and Oomph, EBM slash metal bands. There's a diference goth.
Hey guys, this is Sin Quirin. Guitarist on this track. I co-wrote this song and a few others for The Last Sucker. I also did the 2008 C U LaTour. If you guys like this please check out my new band The Great AmeriCon. Thanks, Sin...
