As an old raver (90s through to naughties) biology/sunrise etc then early ministry/linford studious/cross etc....does anybody actually dance anymore?or do they just stand around waving their phones in the air?
every short i see from this channel is just flat crowds and weak drops. could i make better beats, no. should sammy porter go apply at his local mcdonalds, 100%
The thing is. The drops, changes and pumps… really aren’t the DJ’s work. He only selected the track. But the actual music he is not creating. It’s by other artists. So most is already done. He just has to figure out what songs he wants in what order. He/she then mixes the songs with a bit of EQ (filter) knob adjusting. Plus crowd hype with the hands in the air.
@@Emmekusi - I myself? I was a VJ for many years doing visuals at night clubs and raves in the 90s. I didn’t really care to mix music. Now for a few years I have dabbled in DJing at parties and wakes. I am a musician in a band playing guitar at the moment. But have all the DJ gear and was going to launch sets on Twitch. I have Synth gear, Drum Brute, Keys Mini Brute and a 303 acid bass. I want to have live sets where part of the later set is me jamming out live music on the fly. There is also Open Decks night on Tuesdays at a club near me, I might go play there. So me talking about mixing other people’s music makes me sound like a bedroom DJ? Crazy.
@@Emmekusi - plus. Do you think we all fall for the “look I am moving knobs, so it’s me controlling the music”? It’s just for show. Knob twiddling. If you touch a knob, you had better do something with it! Or it’s fake!
