The official name for the 'Koploper' 3 car model is the ICM-III, which might be easier to pronounce for non-dutch speaking people. The 4 car model is the ICM-IV which is also named 'Koploper'.

i have the blue koploper from klm in HO scale i am from the netherlands and i love them

Excellent review, thanks to you I bought this it :) Although it's the Olympia version (which has an additional coach) its still exactly the same. And luckily it's not that hard to get here in Holland.

very nice and to help you translate koploper your second explanation was correct it means "being the first" "running ahead" "first in a rally". Kop which is not usually used as a body part but is a vulgar word for head or in this case leader. Loper is a person that walks in a group or non related a key that fits every door/lock. Marktplaats dot nl has been taken over by ebay now and is a auction/selling site. again very nice review and the Olympic version is 4 cars for 280 euro NIB and looks amazing (source ebay). though i'm jealous of your KLM version hope your still having fun with it. ps. Koploper is also a name of software used to control your railroad layout trough a computer IF you are driving digital y.

If you find it difficult to speak the word koploper in the netherlands its also known as the ICM and the modernised ICMm ICM= InterCityMaterial, nice to see people in us fan of our trains you might also be interested in the VIRM nice train, i think we have a lot of nice trains =)

Great video of a great train! I've travelled those trains daily for years. A better translation of "Koploper" might be "Frontrunner". Also, let me try a better pronunciation guide to "Nederlandse Spoorwegen": Neigh-Durrr-Landse Spore-Weigh-Gen. Not easy to do, but it's a bit closer than "sportswagen"... :-) Thanks for the video!
