Minneapolis Moline M670 Super Overview 

Amazing Restoration! Awesome Job on that M670!

I was an employee in the engine engineering design/test lab at the Lake Street plant when this M670 was built. That was in 1965 to 1972 with 2 years of military service in '66 and '67. It was my first job after I finished my schooling. I learned alot, shure wish I could drive one again but not very many owners would like to have an 81 yr old man do that. Nice work on this one!

My dad was a Minneapolis man in an area of NE Iowa dominated by red and green. His last new MM was a 1968 670 Super, gas, narrow front. He added an aftermarket cab. It was his workhorse tractor for tillage and cultivating with a rear mounted cultivator. Also baled a lot of hay with it. It replaced a 1961 Four Star which became our loader tractor. Also had a bored out 5 Star and a UB. I learned to plow on the UB with a solid shank 4-16 pull type MM plow. Harvested our corn with an MM Uni picker sheller and a pull type MM picker. Great memories!

We had a M670 super diesel on our farm. I can’t remember the year. It had a 5 gauges on the dash. I remember it being cool because the gauges had a white backing and at night they would glow green. It also had 2 batteries that were set next to each fender. Beat tractor we had on the farm. Spent many hours dragging the fields in the spring with it.

When I was a kid on the farm we grew up Minneapolis Moline We had a 1968 U302 and a 1968 M 670. Beautiful job on your M670. I found your channel a little late.

About 15 years ago my younger brother acquired a MM from where he worked at the time in Denver, CO. He trailered home to me here in PA. Turned out it was a high school's shop project that they got rid of. It was a UB Diesel and out of time along with a couple other issues. I set the timing and got it running, I liked the tractor but my second daughter was starting off to College so it got driven to the local County Fair where a collector needed it worse than he needed his money. Like every thing else I've owned, I wish I had it back now!

I remember building battery boxes for them and moving the battery beside engine because they wanted them moved like there other ones The German farmers all had the moline and MF tractors and no JD😊

Propane minnis were awsome tractors. Never seen a cleaner burning engine the oil never seemed to get black always clear like the minute you poured it out of the can.
