Minneapolis-Moline Powered Stake Mill 

Stake making saw mill in action, powered by a Minneapolis-Moline UTS standard tred tractor. The model U's was a line of 11 different tractor variants falling under the umbrella of a standardized series, the UTS being the standard tread gasoline powered version. The gasoline powered U's are all driven by a four cylinder, 4.6L (284ci) engine developing a claimed 31hp on the drawbar, however testing revealed the engine to develop over 41 on the drawbar and 46.8 at the belt pulley. The UTS was constructed from 1948 thru 1957 with a price tag of approximately $3000 USD. Central Alberta Antique and Model Club, Leslieville, Alberta.
