This video shows you some key areas of the MSP airport outside of security, including parking ramps, rental cars, off-site transportation shuttles, the tram to Terminal 1, Level T, and the light rail to get to Terminal 2, value parking, and the Mall of America.

Very good video. The map and explanations were helpful, even though I've been there a number of times. It really is one of the nicest airports in the US and supports the surrounding areas extremely well. Thank you.

This was a very helpful video. I feel like I could more easily navigate the Minneapolis airport even though I may not have an immediate need to do so. Thanks for sharing these tips with us!

Great video. I come through this airport several times a year from the UK and domestic flights MN to elsewhere in the US. Love MSP airport! I've never landed at the B gates, as far as I remember. Normally arrive and depart in the G gates area.

This is making me so sentimental… I moved out of Minnesota years ago. Now I live near Toronto and we have the worst airport in the world, Toronto Pearson Airport 😢😢😢 I HATE it here. good for you Minnesota for leading the way on what an airport should be like. I miss Minnesota so much and this just makes me miss it even more. I wish I could leave and move back.

All the new stuff you mentioned made me want to check out the MOA. I live in a suburb of Minneapolis but hardly go to MOA.

Thank you for the information . Good to know if I ever need to leave from Minneapolis or even if I have a layover .

It’s interesting that you say Concourse B is for international flights. I rarely ever see that concourse get used. I have gotten off there on only one of my flights from South Dakota in the past 11 months.

I am not sure about arriving flights, but that's where we always see departing international flights leaving from. My guess is it has to do with space for the wide body jets.

@@HeatherTravels to my knowledge, no wide body jets use concourse B. Those are typically in (sometimes) concourse C, and concourses D-G. Concourse B does seem like it would make for a convenient location to bring in all the smaller regional jets coming in from Canada.

I wonder if I am confusing B and D. All I know is that when we flew to Paris last year, we were in a very small concourse (look at how small those two are compared to the others) with just a few gates, and every plane there was flying to Europe, all leaving within an hour of each other.

A & B concourses are mostly used for smaller regional jets.. Not international flights.

I'd never be able to fly. It looks way too confusing. It gives me anxiety just looking at it and it's not even a busy airport lol. My daughter in college loves flying and does it no problem though.

There are signs EVERYWHERE. In every airport I have been in, the trams have signs and voice prompts to tell you where the tram is going and when to get off. I’m not sure about all airlines. But the Delta and United apps offer airport maps. The Delta app even has turn by turn navigation to get from one gate to the next. In any airport, you have to actually try really hard to get lost. If you do get lost, there are (once again) an abundance of signs to point you in the right direction.

Have you tried picking up or dropping off a person at the airport??? HORRENDOUS!!

I actually talk about why I do NOT recommend this in a later video, and show the process of dropping off someone who needs wheelchair service in a more recent video. Check those out when you can!
