I wasn't planning to spend the night in Schoolcraft State Park, but once I drove through and noticed that it was empty, I decided to make it mine for the night. I had an entire section of the Mississippi River to myself, not far from the crowded Mississippi Headwaters.

A little background story on this video. I am learning how to edit on CapCut. Long story short, I lost 99% of my work due to a program update. I rebuilt the entire video in about four hours on Saturday. Thankfully everything was fresh in my head, so I was able to quickly rebuild the video from scratch. This allowed me to make a few minor changes along the way, and helped to reinforce my learnings. Unfortunately I didn't realize that the opening with the text was broken, until the premier. I am leaving it since I want to be able to look back at early videos to see my progression. I also hate letting perfection get in the way or progression. So the mistakes will remain as I move onto the next project.

I have had the Lake Vermillion area on my radar. I will research my options for places to stay (off the beaten path), and hopefully make it happen before I hit the road for the winter.

Awwww, thank you. Lots of gorgeous places to visit in MN, but easy to forget to visit if you live here. I am doing everything that I can to absorb as much of my summer in Northern Minnesota. More to come...
