Minnesota: sneeze 🤧 and summer is over. Then winter lasts 9 months. One month September it’s really nice and that’s it. With October comes the snow before Halloween 🎃

We’d definitely have a good time at the fair together cause I’m a huge pierogi fan and those cheese curds looked amazing too! Never had a buckeye before however both your reactions tell me I need to try it!! Someone else told me I need to try beaver nuggets from buc ee’s as well. Adding this to my food bucket list!

That looked like a great state fair, been in Texas 41 years and never made to the state fair here lol, there use to be a great one in MA, that had 13 buildings one to represent each of the 13 colonies and what that state was known for, don’t know if it’s still there was such fun. The Minnesota State Fair USED to be the second largest state fair behind that of Texas. It was FANTASTIC in the 50's, 60s and '70s. It took two or three days to see the whole fair. By the 1980s it began to dwindle. By 2003, it was not much of anything. Machinery Hill was gone. The massive midway was gone. The many, many exhibits were gone. The extensive agricultural exhibits, shows etc. are now gone. I guess it is basically food now. I am hoping that now in 2023 it has returned to some of its former glory. Regardless, thank you for bringing us along.

Thanks Jordan and Katie for another fun and entertaining video! You NEVER fail to satisfy! I'm 69 and will retire in mid 2025. I have a million road trips planned when I retire, and I'm calling them "Food Road Trips!" Today's video will definitely put the Minnesota State Fair on my list of places to visit! I'm 5'10 and weigh 160, so I have some room to enjoy some of the best food in America while taking in America's scenic beauty during my travels. Thanks Jordan & Katie for your tips on what goes best with most state fair cuisine. Can't wait to see your next video, it's what I look forward to every day!

That's Marjorie Johnson at 16:44. She is Minnesota's most famous baker at 104 years old. She has entered her baked goods in the MN State Fair for 50 years now. She wrote a cookbook (Blue Ribbon Baking) and has been on the Tonight Show. Every time I have seen her she is wearing red.

Some sites rank Minnesota as the largest state fair. The Texas state fair runs for 24 days which is twice as long as MN. The total attendance for both fairs is very close. So MN brings in as many people in half the time, with the largest daily attendance of any state fair.

I was so happy to see you came to our state fair! We always go on day one and it didn’t seem as crowded as what you seemed to experience. It would have been so fun to have seen you and Katie there. The statue of a woman you saw in the agriculture building that was wearing a cape made of blue ribbons is Marjorie Johnson. She is called the Blue Ribbon Baker and she is 104 years old. She made appearances on the Jay Leno Show as well as other talk shows.

Jordan, SO happy you 'accepted' my invite to come to the Best(despite all the haters' comments) state fair in the US. So nice to see Katie, too. The Texas State Fair is definitely the biggest. You need a couple days to visit everything it has. This looked fun. I’m sure it’s a end of summer thing up there. Good to see the Miss back on the channel.

i have been to the iowa state fair only 2times and i hardly ate anything never got a famous porkchop either benn to a few county fairs in wahoo neb and a a not to many of the nebr state fairs but iowa is the hugest bigest closer to home was fun dont know if i will get to go iowas any more i never piged out allthat walking burns it off

There’s nothing like the Minnesota State Fair! I think what makes it unique from other fairs is that it’s right in an urban setting. Watching you and Katie eating all that great fair food made me hungry! Thanks for doing such a wonderful job giving us the fair experience. Florida state fair used to be big and really good when it would come to Jacksonville. The last time i went, it was not that good and wasn't much there. They definitely can be better like they used to be or i should say i wished they were just as goodbasnthey used to be. I just go to the clay county fair. And hust as much distance to it as if you were going to the state fair downtown.

How fun to have you in Minnesota! I've lived here my whole life and it was so fun watching you learn about the fair. I'm 67 so we don't go as often as we used to so it was fun to see new things. Footlong hot dogs and cheese curds are very favorites. Hope you enjoyed yourselves. Love your video's.

I logged 6-1/2 hours at the fair on Labor Day. It was 98F. That was a bit insane. I know a woman who attends the fair all 12 days, every year. Hasn't missed a day in more than 10 years. Texas/Minnesota both can make a claim to be the largest state fair, depending upon how you parse it.

My great grandma made the best pierogis. We are Polish. Simple ones filled with the dry curd cheese, boiled, then fried in butter. I sure miss those pierogis! She passed away in 1993. Looks like you both had a lot of fun!

Thanks for going to the MN state fair. I met some very good friends in the Education building years ago. It is so cool that you went into all those great old buildings. The best ride I can remember is Ye Old Mill. The ride is over 120 years old. So glad you made it into the food building and had cheese curds. Nothing better at the state fair. All year long we would wait for the fair and what is bad about it is the day after the fair school starts. No Joke.
