Just ripped an ultera open, following your video. In a tournament a dealer tried selling us a brand new shaft and motor. Tired of our no accountability society. Anyways thank you for this video, truly appreciate it.

Can you ask Alex if when removing the seals and paper tube (Step 17), how close was the inner most seal to the copper bearing flange that is pressed into the brush end housing? When He was removing those seals he punched them out. I was able to get the outside one but the one close to that copper bearing flange I was unable to get the punch on the seal without nicking and misshaping the copper bearing flange. Will have to remove it and press in another one. Does the inner most flange seat right up next to the copper bearing flange?

What is the best grease to use on lower trolling motors inside of them? Seals and bearings?

Great video!! On step 18 what would be the orientation of the aft and fwd seal?

Question: Do you have to change any seals or gaskets on the sonar puck? It would seem like that would also have a gasket of some sort. ?? Bout to do my ultrex. Great video!
