What is a minor alteration? Some may say it is when you change something, but just a little bit. So…what happens if you change a bunch of Christmas songs “just a little bit” and turn them from major to minor? The result sounds a little like Christmas just met Halloween! Composer David Lovrien probably came up with the idea for this piece while watching a certain movie about that exact concept-in fact, if you listen carefully you may hear “Jack’s Lament” tucked in with some other famous songs written in a minor key.
