MINT 1988 KAWASAKI KLR650 Enduro BulletProof Road Warrior 

Just bought a 91 in about the same condition. One owner bike. 12,000 miles 2,500 bux. Looking forward to riding it.

She's a dandy, back when a klr looked like a dirtbike.

Just bought a '23 Traveler KLR. Good to know it'll still be a great bike in 35 years! I won't live that long, but someone down the road will continue to enjoy it.

My first KLR same color mine was the 87 first year of production. Also had the 91 93 98 06 and now the 16. This is the best looking of them all. Best all around bike ever built.

Stunning bike. The old school bikes look so much better than the bikes of today, that look like futuristic bikes, IMHO. Would love to watch the you tube video of the guy that did the destruction test of the KLR-650. Eddie Van Halen did somewhat of the same, with his current EVH Line Up Of Guitar Amps. He would put one in a soundproof room, on full blast and let it sit for a few days. I would stay the hell out of that room, because working for an airline for 10 years, I'm half deaf already. Lol

Ah yeah! That was my last bike purchase after my 1993 Ducati 900ss which I still have and is in great condition, ported and polished, w open air filter and Termignonis!! But now the Kawi has moved on to my brother in Washington! I used to ride that in the Angeles crest Quite a bit and around La Canada, Highland Park, Los Angeles California...but had a small spill in a crazy curve in La Canada and the bike landed on me and fractured my L2...it was a winner and so fun to ride in the canyons! Love you and all your work Ken and I do hope to meet you and either buy or sell a special bike! I think we are birds of a feather!

I could be mistaken, I think the value on the forks are for bleeding of pressure build up. Something tells me that I remember it in the manual. I had an 07 and did some of the best trips on it. The labrador highway was one. 1400 km of dirt roads. Awesome trip.

I have a 1999 Klr 650 with almost 60k miles on it. I drive it everyday. Such a great do it all bike. Now I just need to find a KLR 250 in good shape and my my motorcycle world will be complete.

Great bike for sure! I rode the KLR 650 in 1999, later the KLX 650 and the KLR 650 Tengai here in Germany.

I bought new a 1987.. From Harbor City Cycles in L.A. Kept it till 1993. Put 47K on the clock. Only thing I had to do was replace the counter balancer.

By the way I bought a 1989 today with 21k. It has a rear utility rack, saddle bag, and a center/rear bag as well as an after market installed LED headlight. Also it has a Maier windscreen. The fuckin bike acted like a god damned UNIT. I am appreciative of it capacities so far.

01 KLR650 did 50k miles in 2 yrs and loved it and for some time it was my favorite bike but after I got my 16 CRF1000 I forgot all about the KLR. The AT feels like a 250 next to the KLR off road...

I just bought my first gen 1 klr last week and I have to say I’m not a big guy I’m only 5’8” and 130 but for it to be such a big bike it rides like a couch and pulls like a tractor 😂😂
