Awe-inspiring! We were there in June. Full eruption was at 3ish am. The after show lasted for hours. We’ll never forget it. Thanks for sharing!!!!

People shouting like that are so annoying! No way to get/enjoy the natural sound of powerful nature... they have to scream at it. One guy actually said, "look at that!" uh... duh, that's why they're all there! lol

GM M the congress geyser just erupted for the first time in around 50 years, not the steamboat, although it's eruptions lately have been unusual as well.

Yes, that is correct, and Steamboat is down to 4 days in between eruptions... totally unheard of before now....hmmmm..
