Tell me why I’m doing that exact same thing for the EXACT same reason I told my mom and my sisters I’m only trying to learn French so I can watch and sing this!
I really like adrienette but more than that I love ladynoir's the most. Because cat noir's love for Ladybug is more than marinette's love for adrien. In many many episodes we have been seen that cat noir has give up his life for Ladybug many times in Ep- Timebreaker, Gamer 2.O ,chameleon, etc. So that's why I like ladynoir's the most
Yes they did. The story has a better concept than just love. Well, the heroes don't only love each other, they love their family, friends, and most Parisians. I think you got the plot and concept correctly.
Absolutely love the French version of this song, whoever sang Adrien's part put his whole heart and soul into this song. His background "miraculous" vocals give me chills every time.
I prefer the french version over the English by a LANDSLIDE. The English is clearly directed to kids, in the discourse, but mostly, the voices bug me. They sound too high pitched. The French voices actually fit the character designs.
Ok, thanks for your comment. I can understand what you mean, and I prefer the french version too! But usually in France, we use to see people who say that english is a better language to sing than french. Personnally, I like both :)
***** Really? most of my friends find other languiges like Italian, French or Japanese to far more interesting to listen to in songs. English is alright, but they're starting to get a bit bland as most of the English singers try to copy each other just to get more albums sold. Other countries have their own styles, and I find it refreshing. :) You have a beautiful language.
0:43 a lot of people seem to be fangirling over chat noirs voice but can we take a second to appreciate her voice and pronunciation here? I just love this line.
Navya S I know right! I mean I still needed some of the translations but I understood most of it because in my school for languages you can learn French so I’m taking French 1 right now.
I have a fear of ladybugs, but since I LOVE miraculous ladybug I let it live and actually let it crawl on my finger so I can put it outside, you should've seen the aftermath
Is any on in the comments actually trying to memorize this song when they don’t even speak French cause they think the French version sounds so cool , and your just so much of an insane fan that YOU HAVE TO DO IT!
The translation is not bad but I still noticed some small mistranslation. Like when she said "Paris mystère" it's more like "Mistery Paris", mysterious is translated as "mystérieux" in french but anyway it doesn't affect the meaning that much x) And the second one is from Chat Noir. There's a little mistake (not that's important but I want to highlight it though x)) with "I'm Chat Noir". He says "C'est moi Chat Noir" = "It's me Chat Noir" However there are other sentences which are more stronger in french and not correctly translated. "Amour chassé-croisé" is really deep. When translate in "Star-crossed love" it loses all is deepness. "Chassé-croisé" means they are looking for each other desperately, but never meet. While "Star-crossed" is a synonym of "unlucky", "chassé-croisé" goes more for "back-and-forth" I think. They are more than unlucky in my opinion... But the most important mistranslation is when Marinette says "Mais lui ne veut m'aimer que lorsque je deviens une Ladybug" which here is translated in "But he only seems to love me when I become a Ladybug". While the meaning is quite close, in french Marinette uses another word to explain the situation. She actually says "he only WANTS to love me when I become a Ladybug". With the verb "seem" it's more like she's unsure that he'll only love her in her Ladybug form. With the verb "want" she's strongly convinced he'll only love her that way and not any other way. I think that's all I have to pinpoint x) I know I'm only playing with words so if you're not interested it's fine. Sincerely, An annoying adult who loves that song.
Enza Barone Since it's a song, the translatation become more complicated not only in English, but in other languages. So describing what you say in few word would not have the same impact. People who speaks french are so lucky to understand the complete meaning. Saying this I have to disagree with you (maybe not in the "amour chassé-croisé" part). There's not only one translation, and it's different when talking about a song. I remark this because I'm a translator.
I love Pets Do you even watch the show? His powers are mostly pure bad luck and destruction. He can cause something to rot instantly. He could kill people with this.
Before watching ladybug I used to like France a lot but always afraid of telling it to anyone,it gave me confidence and also taught me so much,I can never forget miraculous ladybug
NO obama told me otherwise he said that adrien smells like raw fish and sardines now get away before i spray you with acidic fart spray. it causes you to be put in the hosptial.
+lil playful fandom girl I agree with you. You gotta know the basics of French first before singing this song, so you could remember which words to sing in French without the translations. Bonne chance (good luck)! 😁
I LOVE ADRIEN/CHAT NOIR'S VOICE SO FREAKING MUCH IN FRENCH!!!! (Also I love this version so much more than the English one) I am DETERMINED to learn French so I can watch the show in French and listen to this and know what it means!!!! 💗
I don't really watch Miraculous but this song is so catchy! Edit: I started watching it a couple of months ago and I LOVE IT. I ship Adrienette so much aaaah❤️❤️❤️
My mom hates French...she says it's the ugliest language!! 😱😱 but it's got to be one of the most elegant languages and it's so much prettier than English!!
I live in America The teacher asks : I told you to do a research about something you like in French you go first. Me: une lady bug Porte Bonnheur... Teacher : oh carp I should have banned songs too
I love the French version. It's more mystirious... I started learning French because of this show! (Actually I wanted to learn French a long time ago because I become crazy when I hear something about Paris and this show gave me a little push to learn French. I just love that city. My dream is to go to Paris. And you probably don't care but one of my classmates went to Paris *twice* and you don't know how jealous I am😂😭💕) P.S. my english are not very good, just let you know😂👌
artivia Lucky you! I can speak English a little bit (not very good😅) but I would really like to speak good French! Also thank you. Greek is indeed a cool language but people don't speak Greek a lot...
did you notice how the lyrics are why different in the English version chat noir said when i am down she brings me up but he dosnt say that in th eenglish version.
The lyrics is so blue... I mean, literally says that they love each other but they will never be together because Adrien/Chat noir loves ladybug and marinette loves Adrien only. I can't stop crying God 😖🔫
3 years ago, I'd sing this PERFECTLY! Great pronunciation and everything! NOW. I COME BACK 3 YEARS LATER AND ALL I CAN MASTER IS UNE LADYBUG TF HAPPENED TO ME
when you listen to the Miraculous Ladybug theme songs... English: you're a little kid doing flapping your hands and waving your heads while singing the song in a little girl's voice Spanish: (my friend told me the song, i don't speak Spanish I'm learning it) you only have one version and never getting sick of it, all you hear is IT'S LADYBUG!!!!!!!! and never sing any of the other words in the song French: your sitting there... imagine with me... with a box full of tissues... and your crying because the song baisclly says how Ladybug/Marinette will never be able to show Adrien her love and Chat Noir/Adrien says that Ladybug won't be able to love him... Arabic: (i speak fluent Arabic, yes...) it had the EXACT translation as English and seems like a song for a 5 year old Now... if you hear these songs for the first time without knowing the show then you wouldn't have a clue that it's from the same show untill they mention the same names... or you might think that there are the same characters and all but a different storyline for each age group for example 1-7 year olds it might not have ANY love and relationships, for 8-15 year olds it will have some but not too much (like how it is at the moment) and 16+ it will get crazy with love and stuff LOOOL x) in over thinking
Rawd Kamleh It's exactly the same as what happened to Sailor Moon theme (Moonlight Densetsu). Original is a poetic confession made by Usagi during the sleepless lonely night. It's a metaphor that reflects what's going on in her life and how it changes during the first season. Completed with fitting visuals. And then there is what dub made of it. English 90's dub. Also, a character who is stoic, throws cheesy elements in a speech, wears black, fights with a cane, swears to protect the heroine, who is much stronger than him and only she has powers needed to HEAL, who ends up protecting him instead? Wonder from where that came from...
I watched the whole show in French bc I like watching things on their og languages and every time I hear the English dub I cringe at how young they sound (why are they so high pitched!?) and how petty some of the moments become - and the constant mispronunciation of Lila. I may hate Lila but they say her name wrong and mispronunciation of foreign names is a pet peeve of mine. The whole thing sounds more genuine in French, bc, y'know, they're in France, and lots of stuff makes a little more sense (they don't say 'pound it' they say 'good job' or 'well done' or something. Manon looks up to Marinette and her villain name is Marionette. Etc, etc). I'm generally not fond of US dubs of shows because they seem to strip away some of the important cultural context for scenes. If you've got the time then I 10/10 recommend watching the French version. Anyway yeah this is just appreciation for the original French VAs and team bc I love how it sounds and how much more sense some of the scenes make.
Yep. Like in the French version, Cat calls Marinette 'Princess' in the Evillustrator episode and in the US dub he calls her 'Little lady'. Like wth🙄🙄 I really like the French version tbh 😀😀
