Ntm, in regards/adding onto your comment on them not recognizing one another out of their Miraculous' transformations, in Miraculous World Aeon states that their suits have a camouflage of some sort that keeps everyone else from recognizing them. (She was a real one for deleting the memory of their identities from her mainframe/storage)

S2 in general is amazing. It took what S1 already did well, and improved on it so much more and actually progress through the story. I absolutely loved the character development, especially with Chloe. Anything S3 beyond feels like the show is going in circles and back. Characters act the same with almost no change in behaviour, aside from a select few characters who know Marinette's identity. Ship-baiting, dead wife-baiting, plot-baiting, you name it. They can't even be half-assed to give most of the heroes proper transformations anymore. It's been 2 seasons and Ryuko still doesn't have a proper transformation.

That was probably around the time the creator "took a break" and the writers had free reign. They tried to make it better and then he came back and threw any character development in the toilet.

I mean, they took any episode from season 1 which are pratically fillers (most of them) and then saw one from season 4 and got confused because there was a bunch of shit happening in the middle part they lost. But the fact that the show ignores or contradicts it's own story doesn't change the fact that it has a lore. Like, in seadon 2 and 3 there's some episodes that were made just to explain the lore of master Fu, and they lost it. And actually doesn't matter, but that's my point

Honestly I'm not sure that's true. Fandom always tend do demonize female characters for their shitty actions but excuse the shitty actions of male characters. This has literally been the case in every fandom I've been part of. If Marinette were a guy people would absolutely cheer for him bc misogyny is still a thing.

@@Bombonribon the thing is, miraculous has a whole salt fandom. Idk if you're familiar with that, but it essentially focuses on the bad parts of a character and goes from "this person should be called out for their bs" to straight up bashing. If you compare Marinettw salt to Adrien salt, there are two differences: a) for 1 Adrien salt fic/ call out post/ whatever there are 1000 for Marinette. And b) while the worst thing that happens to Adrien in those fics is that he looses his miraculous Marinette straight up gets harassed, assaulted, raped and murdered. I'm not saying people aren't allowed to dislike female characters, but in every fandom I've been so far, a lot of the hate towards female characters is basically "she's not 100% perfect the entire time". Either she's too much of a girlboss or a girly girl, or she comes "in the way of a gay ship" or because she acted a little rude once towards a man. And I think assuming that a lot of this hate is rooted in mysoginy isn't too far fetched. Coming back to ml specifically, Adrien's actions get excused constantly because of his abuse, but like... things like defending a bully from the bullied person or not taking rejections well amd other stuff he does are still wrong. Him being abused doesn't make them better. And it certainly doesn't excuse them. But the show never calls him out, he's always portrayed as right and if he does something wrong he deserves a pat on the back for being such a good kitty. Meanwhile Marinette is the punching bag of the show who gets blamed for things she isn't even responsible for and has to fix everyone else's messes all the time. Also, her "stalking" doesn't even hurt Adrien, heck, he doesn't even notice her. She isn't an active threath for him. Yet she is hated for it. But Adrien is constantly rejected and makes it Ladybug's problem. She directly suffers from his actions, but he is always. Getting. Away. With. It. If this isn't a double standart, idk what is. (Also I hope my answer didn't cone off as rude, I tend to get worked up over stuff like this, but I certainly don't try to attack or offend you in any way:))

Now,… hey, Winx Club has golden era, miraculous never was good to begin with. Winx Club contributed to Western magical girls. And also Winx Club has development coming of age story in seasons 1-3, while in miraculous everything stays same in each episode.

I always assumed it was a deathlike state. Would be kinda dark for there to just be a corpse in a kids show. Like maybe she was dying and he put her in a state that would keep her alive but unconscious. Like a magically life support. Idk

Honestly just start watching season 4, you’ll get everything by the time you finish. There’s been so many reveal plots and then the characters just forget it so those don’t matter. Character development is non existent. No character has any trauma whatsoever. Being akumatised doesn’t affect anyone either. I wouldn’t worry about watching all the episodes
