Miriam is actually one of the most intelligent, sophisticated and a genuinely amazing person one could ever wish to meet. She always speaks her mind and tells the truth. Her Witt is priceless. I love her. She deserves an oscar. Xx
Enoch Powell, i am a great fan of Miriam 's! But, don't know if I would say that she is your best export. I am an American of Italian and Greek descent but I have got to believe I have Some British DNA Somewhere. I am a proud Anglophile who thinks Everything that comes out of Britain is a masterpiece; whether it's comedy, drama, music, etc. From the Beatles to Benedict Cumberbatch and everyone in between. Thank you all for your extraordinary talents!
Lioness Gaga she said she lives there partly. Her partner is Australian. I believe her father is from Glasgow, Scotland and mother from Liverpool, England.
How can someone be that old, wise (I am only 10 years behind you )and still be that delightful, honest , innocent, and still hit the nail on the head ? Thank you for a truly wonderful experience. I will now open my thoughts to other ideas. Thank you Miriam
A little bit of spot light and Miriam uses it to support another's brilliant work. She's a funny naughty lady but a champion of others first. Beautiful lady.
Love that her second home loves her this much. I'm Austrian I discovered her on Graham Norton like so many people outside the UK and Australia. She's incredibe
@@gillchambers9008 she's forthright and honest, doesn't mean she's right but you will always know exactly where you are with such people. For that I like her and for her charm and humour I love her! Not sure we would make great neighbours though, we might be a bit too noisy for her 😄
Miriam Margolyes' is an amazing woman, met her many many times when I used to manage restaurants. She's a VERY deep thinker, and has such empathy for others. Also the comment about the guy improving, she in no way meant that in a mean or awkward way. She was just speaking from her heart, that's the way she is and complimenting him for working on himself. Because lets be honest to work on creating the best person you can be, and to have it recognize is an amazing compliment! I mean you're doing something very few do these days, taking a look at ourselves and making an effort to change the parts of ourselves we and others are not that keen on, isn't easy.
You're so right. It's a little disappointing that the hosts weren't better able to roll with her. She's notoriously blunt and honest and it seemed like they were really caught off guard. Entirely too fawning and not very quick witted. She deserves better.
I was just telling someone about this woman. She really shows us how honesty is at least the easiest policy, and I love how she calls certain persons "aws-holze"
Over 16 months late, but I just want to say, not as a gay person, or an actor or personality of any kind or stereotype, Miriam is one of the best "on screen" and off screen actress's/actor I have ever seen. Not due to ability or training or social blindness but soulfully as a human being.. honest, respectful and never shy's from a challenge. Starting in a time where woman had to be pretty to be successful to the future where people are marked on looks till this day, she shows us looks isn't everything, and being brave, taking a chance can prove the difference between living and existing. I'm only 30 years old. Even I can see the change in "actors" these days. So par, fo par.. for acceptance.
I find Richard Wilkins a bit odd and I suspect Miriam Margolyes does too. Her comment about liking him... now was telling. She is the best guest you could have, as she's a loose cannon and always has a rude story to tell.
Living in Arizona, U.S.A. I only discovered this Hilariously Honest Woman Recently From Watching Graham Norton On RU-vid. Isla Fisher's still my all time favorite actress ever but this broad is a close second!!!
Joshua Bicknell My daughter pointed that fact out to me as well. I love her on talk shows the most. She's been on The Graham Norton Show several times and she's hilarious.
Like me or don't... that's exactly how I discovered her, too! And I actually tuned in because, on that particular night he had another guest on who I wanted to see. It's what I like to refer to as a "Happy Accident. "
Miriam’s savage honesty, wicked SOH and permanent naughty grin are what make her unique. And she’s always so grateful for any opportunities she’s had, even though she’s worked her fairly substantial ass off for them! She’s an absolute lej and I wish she wouldn’t keep saying she won’t be around for much longer 😭😭😭
@Norena Burnell All the more reason to make her a Dame, just because she spoke her mind isn't a reason, if a joke like David Beckham has tried and failed for years for being a major suck up and arse kisser then more power to her for speaking for millions of British people. And after all the NHS did for him he and his band of idiots namely the Conservative Party better not try to sell our beloved NHS off to that orange moron in the states in a post Britain Brexit.
Because it's not an interview in the traditional sense, but more of a group "conversation". I found the input from all four of them to be entertaining.
She is a highly intelligent woman and actor. There are times though when she substitutes vulgarity for wit. Such a pity as she is a naturally astute observer and analyst of the human condition.
I'm from the United States so I really don't understand why people think the people are so posh just because of their. I think that's so funny to hear. I would think people are posh because of being high class educated and coming from money
Just to go back to Faye Dunaway and the Oscar flub: The envelope she and Warren Beatty were mistakenly handed contained the best-actress winner instead of best picture. And Dunaway claimed she did not see the winner’s name on the card. It literally said 'Emma Stone Best Actress for LA LA LAND' And she literally read the LA LA LAND part - W Beatty was looking at it confused but Dunaway just looked at it for a second without reading the card and said LA LA LAND and then W Beatty said it after her - if you watch the clip you can see Beatty look confused and Dunaway just looks at it and goes 'LA LA LAND.' Technically it's her fault which she admits guilt to later - “Why didn’t I see Emma Stone's name on the top of the card?” Dunaway said she asked herself after the flub (Vanity Fair).
@@sharonmullins1957 She'd be honest.. More than I can say about most who sees some fancy pants royal-ish person.. And I believe the Queen herself would quite enjoy Miriams spirits.
“I like you now”........ 🤣🤣🤣 basically you were shit before, but I like you now. Miriam never pulls any punches but doesn’t have any malice. She would be nice as a neighbour, she has a lot of funny, interesting stories. Just watching Miriam and Alan Cummings travel around Scotland at the moment in the new TV programme Lost in Scotland which has been enjoyable.
airdrieboy1984 no, the guy on the rignt has been the entertainment reporter for 25 years now, he's interviewed her since the 90's so she's commenting on his career arc rather than something said minutes before.
