Mirko & Alessia are the fastest couple ever to become World Standard Ballroom Champions. After turning pro in 2004, they quickly became World Champions the very next year. As the current title holders, it doesn't seem like any other couple has the ability to relinquish the titles from them anytime soon.

I have watched this countless times over the years and it still is probably my favorite performance ever. It is so authentic, and the passion that Mirko brings as you can see him singing the lyrics, is incredible. Alessia is such a beautiful dancer and they were wonderful together. Nothing against the modern "athletic" style that has emerged, but I much prefer this now almost 20 year old classic style (which is when I began my dance career), though of course 20 years ago this was modern at the time and quite a radical change from the 80s/90s!

For me; this is the most beautiful and the most perfect waltz ever. I have had a pleasure of watching them in person and ballroom dancing has never been ever better.

This is an ETERNALLY LIVING masterpiece by the former world champions. Italy and Waltz is fantastic. Has this been presented to Pope Francis? (A former dancer in Buenos Aires before becoming priest). When God thinks about the world, he thinks about THIS performance of beauty, grace, peace and perfect movement to the heavenly rules of music.
