If you quickly ran a flame across a balsa lure, would that get rid of “the fuzzies”? If it picked up a bit of colour it wouldn’t matter because of the paint. I often use that technique when getting rid off odd ends of deer hair on natural colour packed hair flies.

Well I do virtual school I get done at 1030 so i do draw baits and make them when I'm done but I only have hand tools the only power tool I can use is a drill so baits take so much longer

"Never have I had a lip pop out when using super glue". Don't rely on this if you are doing deep diving lures with the tow point in the lip. Super glue is NOT strong enough for these.

I bought that paint thinking in my saltwater lures. It could be very useful. Your carp lure had an excellent finish. Definitively You are a lure maker master. Those holographic scales gave an awesome look. You know something, while I was watching your video and you were doing that piggy lure, I was doing another tiny plug for trout fishing and I began to laugh a lot because the size of my lure seems ridiculously small hahahaha... maybe if you want, visit my channel to give a look to the last video I posted a week ago where I showed my tiny trout lures 😂...If you can, please give me your recommendations to improve my plugs. You asked about UV Resin. When Alumilite had their 6 months of backorder recently I bought some of the Chinese stuff on ebay. It's the same thing. Works great. It's on Amazon too, (black bottle) but it's half the price for the same thing on ebay. You can only get it 100g and 200g at a time so it's brush on, and maybe the alumi UV 2 lb can is less expensive per ounce, not sure. But the Chinese stuff is just as good. You could check out the "Engineered Angleer" on youtube too. He's done an extensive test comparison of the stuff in one of his vids.

Here in the UK us Pike and predator fish lure anglers call all Carp "Mud-Pigs" because of how they churn up the bottom of any pond or lake they live in and turn the water permanently murky. Nate, the word for "undeniably in the middle" is Symmetrical and if it's off to one side or the other the word is Asymmetrical.

the cheap generic china clearcoat from amazon works well for me, it turns out really hard and totally clear. i think its used for jewelery making and its really cheap too, 500ml cost around 20$

I tried making a lure once and it did not turn out well. It did nothing. It just... didn't do anything. Then I started watching your videos more and paying attention to how and why you do certain things. Since then I successfully made a tiny little nugget of a top water walker and even caught some nice bluegills on it. It was the most satisfying thing ever. Just a tiny ugly little nugget of wood and spray paint but it functions well and actually catches fish. Now I'm working on a lipless crank bait. It's pretty small and nothing very special, but I feel like I can make it function based off what I've learned from your videos. Anyways, thanks for the entertainment and the inspiration.
