The O.C.'s Mischa Barton confesses she was faced with 2 writing options - one to kill off Marissa and the other to keep her alive... Love the O.C.?? Buy an awesome T-Shirt! teespring.com/...
I revisit this video every year for a belly laugh. From the title and the thumbnail🤔, to the interview itself. “I don’t want my hair to fall off my head🥴👀” “I chose for the character to DIE😐” “I think Rachel’s living in CANADA?!🇨🇦😳”
The thing about this interview its that she admits this an hour ago before the premiere of this ep its like she didnt even care about how huge this death was
@@efeklau6502 no, not necessarily that she’d die. They probably just heard her departure from the show. She went into detail about the two offers for an ending and then told it 🤦🏾♀️
I think the show could've gone on for years on end even if she died, though she was my fave character. I've always wondered why these kids all looked so miserable. They could just get some new characters in and continue.
I watched the last season just recently and it felt hideous, with that Ryan /Taylor thing and it ended in what? 6 episodes? Just ridiculous. I think this show was a real hit and they could've just continued with different people/plots. X
came to watch this because I'm listening to "welcome to the OC bitches" podcast in 2022. This interview is very telling of her health and sobriety, sad to see what happened to her in real life.
It was supposed to be just she goes off with her dad to work on a boat, and the show just wouldn't show her, kind of like they did with her father when he just left and the show didn't show him again.
@@AstroSully No, if they wrote her off, which they were gonna they would’ve just made a story about her permanently moving to some foreign country abroad. You don’t have to kill characters to write them off of a show. It was at the insistence of the Marissa actress that they had that horrible car crash.
The writers messed up with Marissa. From the Oliver story it was none stop trauma with no breaks. It was too much. They should have explored her with Ryan and happy much more. That’s what we wanted to see.
She says she was 16 when she started the show, I didn't know she was that young, that's a lot of pressure for someone that age. I had such a huge crush on her, it's a shame seeing her strung out and how things turned out. Some people are cut out for certain lifestyles and others aren't. Wish her the best.
She thought she was gonna have bigger roles and be the next Julia Roberts but the thing is word gets around fast. Heard she was a little bit of a diva on set. Leaving the show ended up being her downfall.
