absolutely brutal. been playing 18 months and cancelled all poker sites today. What was once quite fun/interesting, turned into absolute disaster. my hats go off to you guys the way you deal with the bad beats. Ive had one after the other after the other and thought, I dont like this anymore. Next hobbie.......................
I took the decision to take a step back as well - although that was due to a horrible live experience, on top of the online bad beats. Poker is just a cruel game in general, don't think it makes much of a difference if it's online or live.

Poker sites don’t make money from you running bad, they make a 10% rake on your entry itno whatever tournament, and that’s literally it. Poker sites have no financial incentive to rig the game against one player or multiple. If anything they lose money because people who run really bad will convince themselves the site is rigged and stop paying rake on it…
He's rolled for it, either through his own bankroll or auto-selling percentages of his action in high buy-in tourneys to the same individual. $9k is the same as $9 in that way. He wouldn't have entered the event because he didn't see a big enough edge, not because it was outside of his bankroll.
Funny how the legends of online all seem to never stop running like god. Don’t mistake me, they’re obviously some of the best in the world but let’s be clear, they run like it too.
It's nice to see that even the pros get brutalized with coolers and two outers. Makes me feel a little bit more grounded in all of my experiences dealing with the same garbage.
The difference is you are probably losing a lot of trash hands like all the ace x you refuse to just throw away preflop, or piling it in as a nickel favourite. Before crying about the same variance we ALL have to face realize that your ace four off suit is a half dime better than 95 suited and the two hands should play the same line generally
@@jameslourenco1570 I have lost the following pre-flop all-ins this week in tournaments you can't afford to play: AA vs KQs AA vs 99 AA vs 89 AK vs A10 KK vs 79s 1010 vs 77 AA vs KK KK vs 66 1010 vs 99 AA vs AQ Every single loss would be runner runner flush/straight or two-outers on the turn. And the above doesn't even begin to highlight the dozens of all-in pre-flop races I lost, of which I only had a roughly 5% win rate to people ACTUALLY playing A4 against my AQ and AK. Damn dude wtf??? It's shit like that, that make people wonder if it's rigged (it's not of course) but it's not like you was unlucky against two - three players, just that one dude who got that sun run on. UL and GG dude. Also loved the analysis throughout, was great for a learning stand point
This is why I quit playing on PokerStars. I would always play great, until I come across unfoldable hands like AA or KK. Idiot puts me all in with rubbish, I insta call with AA, flop is great, then I watch how the site magically gives him runner runner to get there. Thanks Lex. I'm not coming back ever.

Then you would have -10k+1 mouse in losses. Nothing out of the ordinary to lose overpair to underpair. I would more likely smash my mouse if by mistake I registered 10k instead of 1k but even then it's not the mouses fault 😄

My kk all in preflop runs at 27 percent win rate on stars lol always some random junk hand calling off 40 plus bb or somthing and hitting runner runner straight etc..its just poker but I run so badly in stars..I've moved 3 quarters of my play too gg and the beats are 1 6th of the time compared to getting dirtied in river on stars lol 😆
