This was such an enlightening conversation, l had not thought of all these variables existing within the same profession, quite interesting really. The demand and supply factor even applies within the private sector in the sense of firms within that space do not attract the same type of clients. Big 4 clients will have a bigger pool of high paying clients which explains why their trainees would be paid a higher salary than trainees from a medium sized/smaller firms. It truly is all about the demand and supply.

Ntwanie honestly took Olwethu's comment to heart that she couldn't answer 😂😂😂😂 But I think this was a good chance to clear the misconception & educate. I get where Olwethu is coming from cause some of the working class will tell you that "we do the high school accounting" 😂😂😂😂😂 but not the CA's well atleast for me

Its not that difficult to switch from public to private.The bulk of CAs are in private sector.I also trained with AG but I am now in private sector with a lot of other CAs who did their articles with AGSA.
