There really is a lot to see in the Redmond/ Bend area! There is no way you could even see it all in one trip! Thanks for watching and commenting! Have a wonderful trip!
Yeah Smith Rock State Park was an extremely beautiful place! I'm planning on going back in October to do more trails since I loved it there so much! Thank you so much for watching 😀.
Yeah this is definitely an extremely beautiful place to come explore! Beautiful scenery at every step of your hike! You got to love this place and I really hope to come back in the Fall. Thank you so much my friend!
can feel me panting just watching you climb those stairs! My brothers and sisters are loud! (Canada geese). A truly beautiful trail! You looked like you loved it - and that's great to see!
Yeah it's a pretty phenomenal hike. Definitely a steep beginning but I have done way worse before! The Canadian geese sounded wonderful. Not a sound I hear back home in Vegas. Glad you enjoyed the video my friend and thank you for watching!
I am home from my travels....catching up on your videos! No wind? That is good. No rock climbers? It sure is something to watch climbers on the many routes up the rock!
Thanks for catching up on my videos! Looks like you had an awesome trip! It was not windy that day luckily! Rock Climbers I saw but didn't capture them on film. Thanks for checking this out my friend
What a great place to ride a horse through. I'm sure it wasn't as popular and busy back then as it is now. Must have definitely been nice. Thank you so much for watching and commenting on this video.
Thank you so much! Yeah this hike was pretty gorgeous! I'm actually coming back out to Smith Rock State Park in October. Thank you so much for watching!
It was tough in the beginning but me and you have done much worse hikes than this LOL. I know this is not a national park but definitely just as beautiful as one. Thanks for watching Randy I really appreciate it.
Amazing hike, Eric! They were not joking about it being a difficult hike. The views were amazing! You got a little more mileage you had bargained for 😉 A paradise for geese and ducks. It looks absolutely stunning. That was a fantastic hike and video. Great job, Eric!
Yeah luckily the steep incline is short and then it is pretty easy after that. The views were absolutely breathtaking the entire hike and I totally loved it! All the birds I heard and saw along the trail we're great! This is a paradise for people and birds definitely! So glad you enjoyed the video my dear friend! It was such a fun one to put together! Thank you so much 😀.
with the name of Misery Ridge you know it's going to a hard hike, into the video I could see it was a steep climb but the views from the top were amazing ( the birds sounded like Canada Geese ) and thanks for the link to the park 👍
Yeah the name definitely says it all! Lucky the hard part is knocked out right away in the beginning and that's that! I loved hearing the birds along the hike! Definitely makes you feel you are totally in nature! Thanks for watching Craig!
Me and my wife just hiked this a couple weeks ago visiting from North Carolina. Loved this trail and the downhill was a doosey, lol. We slipped a bunch going downhil. Great video though. Love all your videos, great job!!
That's really awesome that you came out here all the way from North Carolina. Yeah the downhill part is definitely slippery and I'm not surprised you guys slipped LOL. It's an amazingly beautiful hike and state park and I'm glad you 2 got to experience it. I really appreciate your kind words on the video and I'm glad you are enjoying the channel. I have a lot of fun making these videos so I do appreciate it. Thank you!! 😀
I can see why its called Misery Ridge. That uphill and downhill looked like you almost needed ropes, but it it is a real beautiful area and those rock formations and fantastic.
Yeah luckily the misery climb is short! After that it's pretty easy for the most part except for the slippery area. But it's a gorgeous hike and worth all the effort put into it. The rock formations are amazing and I remember flying into Redmond and seeing this State Park from the air and it looked unbelievable! That definitely got me really hyped up for my adventure! Thank you so much Lance!
Thank you so much for Mia for your kind words as always! 😀 yeah this is definitely a top-notch hike that I'm so happy to share with everybody. You honestly don't get too much better than this when it comes to a hiking adventure! I am really hoping to come back out here in the Fall to check out the other Trails the park has to offer. Thanks again Mia I really appreciate it!
@@adventuringoutdoorswitheric I'm so happy you are in a position to share it Eric, it means so much to those of us that are A. Not in the area B. Have health issues and still cherish hiking ❤ I absolutely love your channel and your personality Eric!
Awesome video, Eric! I loved the view of the switchbacks from the beginning and when you reached the top. You did good job in keeping the "crowds" out of the video. I'm amazed that it was crowded on a Wednesday, so it it must be mad crazy during the Summer months. Thanks for sharing.
The views on the switchbacks were definitely the best part of the hike but the entire hike was so beautiful! Yeah keeping people out of my shots is better for the video itself and for the people because they might not want to be filmed. The Summer has to be insine! Glad you enjoyed this Ana and thank you!!
Monkey face ridge this hike has some awsome names lol … all in all great trail, you’re really lucky in the states you have some awsome trails ! It’s funny I’m the way up you can’t wait to top out so you can start the descent but then that always brings its own problems !!! Loved it mate cheers Alan team54 🥾⛰⛺️
Oh very cool! I will have to watch that video when it comes out. I am really hoping to come back in the Fall and do more hiking here. Thanks for checking this out brother .
Thanks for sharing, what a beautiful hike, I have a question, what if you do the trail to your left, and just to the monkey face, can you avoid that big climb if you don’t feel experienced enough? Thanks again!
Well you still will have a big climb to get to monkey face. It will probably be just a little easier though. Unfortunately right after you get to monkeys face and go back down that part is extremely slippery still going down. I think the best way to experience this hike though is definitely in a full loop. Thanks for watching!
No this is the 3.7-mile hike! I am sure the 7.3 one is pretty awesome! Here is the information about the trail I did. Misery Ridge and River Trail on AllTrails www.alltrails.com/trail/us/oregon/misery-ridge-and-river-trail--2
