His name in canon is Spelled mischa bachinski (mischa is Russian name) In Ukrainian it would be spelled "Misha/Mishka" and his surname is spelled similarly to polish though it would probably be spelt Bachinskyy/Bachinskiy I usually call him Mishka Bachinskiy 🤷♂️

He might be cannonically, but he gives me such sensitive middle child that tries to be cool vibes 😭 like, in my opinion: Ricky: could be both the nerd older brother and the little bro everyone protects; Noel: the older brother or the second oldest brother (after ricky) Mischa: The middle child AKA the parent's disappointment; Constance: One of the youngest, but she also could work as the middle child; Ocean: annoying entitled young sister.
Aww :( Noel never kissed a man before Mischa because he was told by his mom to tone it down so he probably never really embraced his sexuality. Being a small town he also probably found it hard to even find people to date.
I realized why this version of the show makes me so sad. I had a high achieving, redhead, Ukrainian American cousin. She died in an especially freaky car accident along with another teen, while the other two teens survived but with injuries. Just a little too close to home…
I think when Jane Doe is behind Mischa during 'Talia' it's a small nod to the fact that nobody in the choir will know if she was real and I find that pretty interesting.

As someone who was in a musical, I can say that like 90% of the funniest bits of choreography and blocking was the cast dicking around and choreographer letting it slide 💀

@@sunbeampaintings1744 Yeah, but they messaged in Ukrainian (and maybe even Facetimed as well). I mean, Noel could have used GT, but it's not always accurate and doesn't really translate things like slang 100% accurately either, so Mischa would DEFINITELY notice if something didn't sound right. Not to mention Noel's actor himself openly DESPISES the theory and has talked about it on his tiktok (he doesn't mind the ship, he just thinks the catfish theory is problematic/borderline homophobic/paints Noel as an awful person). The reason why Noel stopped Mischa from finding out is because Noel thought that maybe Talia may not have been the best person for Mischa and that he would be better off loving her in theory than in practice. And yes, they do kiss in Noel's Lament, but they're both playing characters. Noel is not himself, and Mischa is not himself. And if you do theatre, you know that stage kisses/screen kisses are not meant to mean anything. It's just part of the blocking. Plus, if Talia wasn't real, it would make Mischa being the only one in the group with 2 full-length songs kinda pointless so there's that
