I'm not as dedicated of a Supernatural fan as most of the audience, but I have always thought it was a pretty good blend of commercial tropes, blockbuster atmosphere and cult classic storylines, with a touch of genuinely refreshing edge. I was also a big fan of Cass, his Spock-like disillusion toward humanity and his Data-like yearning to understand them more, even to emulate them in his own twisted otherworldly way. I am incredibly pleased to see that Misha Collins himself is not just some akward hipster who happened to be great at his role, but he is in fact an intelligent, caring and more importantly, a genuinely funny and fun person in his own right. Very impressive, indeed. I shall watch Supernatural with a whole new pair of eyes in future.
