@@CassTeaElle well, if you suffer from misophonia or hyperacusis and you try and listen to this recording, the quality of the recording with the whistling through it makes it impossible to listen to. I literally couldn’t hear. I was just pointing out that it was ironic that a misophonia video had triggering noises. I find your comment perplexing.

I tried to do meditation classes when I was about 18-19 years old. I ended up even more broken because there were idiots in the class that made loud noises even to the point it was almost like snoring. I’m having flashbacks by listening to this because this is the type of stuff they taught and all I can relate it to is the extra tension I got from having to try and stay in the therapy session to try and relax but really ending up more hopeless because I couldn’t participate. I’m actually at a point where I need to cry and just die. I feel like theres nothing that can help me. I am convinced Satan is behind this disorder! It’s more limiting than someone who had a leg amputated!

Thank you. I have already downloaded the app from listening to this. If you have trained any specialists in Australia, please let me know. I live in a shack as far away from society as I can. I have the dog barks from 5km away causing me to have massive meltdowns in addition to the misophonia symptoms when people sniff, chew, etc. worse when I have hormonal dysfunction. Just recently, I thought I was going insane when my fridge triggered me. I actually got a replacement fridge and it’s noise was a trigger so I got rid of it but then my old fridge triggered me, I’m just somehow learning how to survive with it but I’m now in a state of having severe adrenal fatigue. It’s like I have increased episodes. I thought I was going insane prior to watching your videos. Being recently diagnosed with sensory processing disorder, adhd and asd, with anxiety disorder, I just don’t know what to do anymore. I have a 7 year old and the last few weeks he’s had to be at my mums because he triggers me now. I need assistance beyond the app I feel. It’s urgent.
@@Gutileonardo1 I’m a lot better than when I typed that message. I can not believe I said I need to die. I know I was really unwell at the beginning of the year. It’s a hard disorder. It’s limiting. I get counseling through an audiologist now who specialises in misophonia and hyperacusis and TTTS. I have my days. If a trigger (like doof doof music playing) starts, I literally have to get in the car and go straight to my mums. I started talking an extremely low dose of SSRI medication and that took the edge off. Thanks so much for asking me how I was. God bless you xx
@@kelza83 I’m so glad to hear you are doing better. I’m feeling how you were in your original post. I have just come off HRT and my hormones are plummeting. I have extreme anxiety over this. My worst triggers are sniffing and my husband is very sniffy. We’ve been married 25 years, but the hormones and anxiety have made me develop this new trigger. What did you do to help yourself? I feel I have no relief from this fight or flight feeling, if I’m not hearing the sniff, I’m anticipating the sniff. It’s truly miserable.
How do you know if you’re doing the pmr right? Sometimes the audio will describe something that i don’t quite understand and am not sure how to tense the thing they want. Also i’m not sure if i’m supposed to be able to relax these muscles yet on demand, and when you gain the ability to relax on command do you still need to tense first or just relax them?
You imight try the app, Misophonia Muscle Relaxation Training. Once you develop the neurological connections to relax on demand, I think you will mostly keep those if you continue practicing relaxing. But daily PMR is good for your health and wellness, so I suggest you do it daily or every other day.
