In the Philippines, it's our culture to fix someone's hair if out of place. Mostly, mom's do this. So, therefore Megan was doing her culture too. Which unfortunately was an offense to Ms Botswana's culture.

Sometimes we need to acknowledge the culture of other people, it’s ok to be caring but you need to ask permission first from the person because you don’t know if it’s okfor her or not, respect I think.

I'm not sure what's Megan motive was, but the hair wasn't out of place 🤔. Therefore, why "fix" anything while in front of the world. The reflection in this interview was naïve. Ask permission before touching someone's person. In a pageant, hair is styled and rechecked before getting on stage. Host should not seek out flaws but relax contestants during the interview. 😢

Uzapi you remember from my last comment I said it is possible that people are angry on behalf of Chombo and yet she is not? Mahoko ame ga a wela fatshe, one thing I said though and I was completely wrong was that I thought Lesego will not address this issue at all, I must say I did not apply myself in my thinking.🤣🤣🤣 How did I get to think she will not when she is right at the pick of her reign and having more interviews offcos they was someone who was going to ask her. You have beautiful teeth. I enjoy the content. Anything Lesego I am in. I find her to be inspirational plus for the longest time I rode on the delulu that she is my home girl🤣🤣🤣🤣 please cover all topics however leave this one out.

@@uzapihange7536 You are doing great. However if I happen to have any suggestions. I will share with you. One of the things I have wanted to do for the longest time but failed is book reviews, I never talked about your book even on insta coz I have been saying I will do a review. I read it perhaps 3 times now however the perfectionist in me thought I need to gather my words right. I wanted to do a book review where I relate the book to my life or perhaps something in real life. What stood out for me and what resonate with me. I know you are into reading so I thought doing something to do with books maybe an easy thing. It may not be what I described above however something to do with books.

I hadn't even watched the video to hear what was said but I was already offended seeing the other lady saying she's "fixing" a grown woman's hair, which in my eyes didn't even need fixing🤦‍♀️ I just saw undermining, disrespect and a psychological mind screw of making the other one feel like gum under a shoe......it was disgusting to watch. Anyways after watching the video, I still feel the same, I'm just greatful Miss Botswana was not fazed

African always worrying about inanities. If you find it offensive maybe you should start by wearing your own hair so when touched it won't be offensive. Brilliant beautiful woman. I glad she wasn't bullied into taking offence. I watched a video of Chris Jenner...she walked up to elon musks and fixed his tie. Imagine she did that to a black guy .... all imaginary stuff would have be said.

Are you serious? Outside of the witchcraft opinion, the reasons why the action caused the uproar are as follows: 1. It was disrespectful and offensive action. For centuries, other cultures have not only had a fascination with black women's hair - and to a lesser extent black men's bald head - but also with that fascination comes with the urge of wanting to touch the hair or head. In a majority of the case they proceed with that action without asking and obtaining permission 2. Noting the action, it can be likened to someone, namely a stranger, touching any part of anyone"s persona, without first seeking permission and granted permission to proceed. That is an assault and 3. The belittling action, noting the backlash from Botswanians, surely would have rattled Miss Botswana and impacted her performance at a crucial point in the question and answer portion of the competition. it appears that it did just that because she was not as eloquent and effervescent as how she was during the contest period. All videos of her she was eloquent and engaging; however, during the question and answer sections after the disrespectful action she appears deflated and hurt. In respect to Ms. Botswana's comment, it was not to quell the uproar, but rather to be political because the Continental Winners will do and are obligated to do some traveling with Miss World during her reign.

You must also put in to context the Filipino Culture… Generally we are very kind and respectful. Women in our culture are respected and adored. The Mother in our culture is revered. We have the culture of camaraderie and caring, this is actually a normal thing to do in our culture and it is seen as being kind. We see this as an “ATE” meaning an older sister caring for her younger sister. We see no colors, nor hair. We welcome everyone in our country even our old enemies. We do respect your culture and I promise you Megan has no ill intentions and we apologize if Megan cross the line. Again this is not to be little black women. We respect every culture and every tradition..

Read the Scriptures and then look at yourself in the mirror and ask if you are virtuous enough or a praiseworthy person? Better seek for the TRUTH because the way you perceived such beautiful, loving, caring gesture of Megan is absolutely wrong! Your mindset is dangerous 'coz it's on the dark side! Better change 👉 for the good of your SPIRITUAL BEING! Shalom!
